Griffin Rifle Team falls to rival by 5
GHS Rifle Team (1108) lost its second match of the nine completed thus far in the season to Creekside (1123). This loss put them back in third place behind East Coweta and Creekside, "There seems to be a jinx against these to teams. No mater how much we practice and prepare for them, when the time comes to perform, something happens and we mess up," said Team Captain Jeremy Moore, "but I believe we've gotten ourselves back together and we're still just as determined to get to state as we were before. We'll see how it goes from here."
Moore's 289 was the high for the match, shooting a 95 in standing. Barry Oliver (284) Roderick Foster (273) and Jessica McClain (272) were the rest of the top scores. Jimmy Crawford, who has been working hard to get back on varsity after shooting the the first match, fired a 265, and Michael Barrett, also searching for a regular varsity spot, fired a 270.
