Rifle Team sets new GHS record
Junior Jeremy Moore shot a personal best 284 out of a possible 300 to lead the way as the Griffin Rifle Team won its third match this season and set a new school record in a 1118-1083 win at Henry County last week.
Moore was a point shy of the cut off for the individual state matches April 15 at the Tom Lowe Olympic, formerly Wolf Creek. Senior teammate Joey Mabry (283) also shot a personal best and was only two points shy of qualifying for state.
Griffin's Josh Bennett (277) and Jennifer Lewis (274) overcame the cold of the Henry County range to post solid numbers. Teammate
Jessica McClain (267) continues to improve.
