Griffin defeated Union Grove this Tuesday with a score of 1128 to 961. Barry Oliver fired his personal high of 288, a score which tied Jeremy Moore. Both Moore and Oliver fired 99 in prone, Moore fired one point higher than Oliver in standing with a 92, and Oliver outscored Moore in kneeling by a point. Roderick Foster fired a 278, while Rachel Durham fired her season high of 274. Robert Evans fired a 260 in his second match attempt.
Jessica McClain, ranked 35th in Area 5 and has 4th best average on the team, was home sick. However, she will be back in the line-up on Thursday as Griffin faces off against Woodward Academy at the Tom Lowe Shooting Grounds (formerly Wolf Creek Olympic Shooting Complex)., with Griffin hungry for a 10 - 2 record at the end of the season.
