Griffin Rifle Team Tops Westlake
Led by Josh Bennett's match high 291, the Griffin Rifle Team defeated Westlake 1129-1080 Thursday afternoon at Griffin High School.
Jeremy Moore had the highest event score of the match, a perfect 100 in the prone, and finished with a 287 points. Justin Lazenby finished with a score of 277 including a 99 in prone, and Joey Mabry finished with a 274.
Tesia Hicks led Westlake with a 278, followed by D'Aurelia Harvey's 270.
The match will probably be Griffin's last of the season, as CSM Julius Lang expects next Thursday's match against Cedar Grove to be a forfeit. The Bears (9-2) finish up in a familiar place - third behind East Coweta and Creekside.
