Woodward Academy defeated Griffin at Wolf Creek Thursday with a score of 1138 to 1118. Woodward was led by Griffin resident Chris Hill with a 288.
Griffin has had a very successful season considering losing 5 of its members to graduation last year. A year for rebuilding, this year has seen nearly every individual school record broken or tied. With only 3 returning shooters on the starting line-up, the competition between the other shooters was high for 4th and 5th spots. Roderick Foster (freshman) took the fourth spot during the first match, and has stayed there ever since. The fifth spot has been rotated by every team member.
