What materials are available in Israel and what libraries are available?
There is a large number of private libraries which are available to those who work in a company or study in an education environment. Each of them have libraries which are relevant to their specific fields.
These libraries are far from complete but they do serve their target audience.
In some cases people from outside of these companies or institutions may be invited to use these libraries, but in other cases the libraries are restricted to the specific target audience and outsiders are not invited.
The restrictions on outsiders have been increased because of security issues and there are fewer libraries than ever which have opened their doors to the public.
In the past the only consideration was the fact that materials would be missing because of visitors. Although this problem remains a greater problem is the security that every institution faces.
