Most of what you will find on this page is what I have accomplished or plan to accomplish in the near future.
My name is Jeff.  I was born on 12 May 1982, Fullerton, CA.  I was commissioned into the Army as a 2nd Lieutenant on 10 May 2002 and graduated from New Mexico Military Institute 11 May 2002  (Interested in the Early Commissioning Program for the Army Reserve/National Guard?  Let me know).  The two years I spent attending NMMI were extremely challenging, but I do not regret my choice to go there.  It has shaped me into an individual that I never imagined I could be.  Even though I did not have a "soft spot" for the military college, I have to admit, it has paved the way for my current success and my future career in the military.  I am continuing schooling at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.  I am majoring in History.  I am currently serving as a tank platoon leader in the Texas National Guard.
Once I've attained my B.A. degree, I'd like to finish my last few years in the reserves and start a career in the Uniformed Division of the Secret Service or another branch of the Federal Government.
Putting aside the military side of things, in my spare time I enjoy martial arts.  I have practiced three different arts (Kung fu, Tae Kwon Do, and Karate) within a 10 year span and competed for nearly 6 years.  In the past, as a Tae Kwon Do instructor, I had taught children and adults which at times was quite a challenge.  Traveling has been another major interest of mine.  It was another motivating factor in my decision to join the Army.  I also like to hit the beach as often as possible.  You are not a true Californian if you have not made the beach an obsession.
I hope you enjoy the site and sign the guestbook so I know that you have been here.
