Staring Down (Olympus)

Now I’ve fallen on my knees, now I’ve fallen to the ground
Must you stop to stare at me, I can’t stand your silent sound
And when everybody leaves me I’ll be headed towards Olympus
I’ll be staring at the sea, I’ll be staring down on me.

Will somebody please help me find my angel wings,
and if I feel will it be real or just a dream.
Will somebody please help me find my angel wings,
and if I feel will it be real or just another dream.

You’re the best type of perfection, you’re the type that money buys
You don’t trust the handsome people, and to us you pay no mind
And when everybody leaves you, you’ll be headed towards Olympus
You’ll be staring at the sea, you’ll staring down at me.

Will somebody please help me find my angel wings,
and if I fell to far oh well will someone help me please.
Will somebody please help me find my angel wings,
and if I fell to far oh well will someone help me please.

So hold me, won’t you stay with me
And touch me, won’t you stay ill with me
Just kill me, won’t you set me free, Right now. (Repeats)
Song Background
The second song I ever wrote and presented to the band. As was the case before LSD ( My third song ) I wasn't able to, or at this point confident enough to, sing this song myself. So Aaron remained the singer of this song and it became a rather big to some of our friends. We used to close shows with this song until Epiphany Groove took that slot. It was first played by Eli (Aaron's brother) on drums and Aaron and I on guitars. I switched to bass when Thomas kicked in. It's about vanity and greed and shame. It's about not knowing whether you are going to hell or heaven and trying to find your wings to get away.
