Champaign Service Unit Service Project  2007 - 2008

Raymon Wilcoxon is a little boy from Champaign County who has Osteogenesis Imperfecta type 3, otherwise known as Brittle Bone Disease.  Raymon's bones break very easily.  We will be collecting pop can tabs to donate for Raymon's medical devices and other needs.  Pop can tabs will also go to Ronald McDonald Houses, which have been very good to Raymon's family.  The troop who collects the most tabs will receive a pizza party.  If you would like to help with our collection, please contact the Service Unit to find a troop near you!

We have several fun and exciting events planned for the Girl Scouts in Champaign County. This file will be updated as information is finalized. Volunteers are needed for all events. You may sign up at any of our Leader Meetings or contact the person listed for the event.
If ANY school in Champaign County is closed for any reason, it is the policy of Champaign Service Unit to NOT hold a scheduled event. This applies to SERVICE UNIT SPONSORED EVENTS. Cancellation of any event will be posted on this website as soon as the decision is made to cancel.  Please check with individual troops about their own policies.
As with all medical cards, please make sure the information is filled out completely and correctly on your event registrations.  Very serious complications can occur if tetanus boosters are given too closely together.  If a girl has to be treated for lacerations, hospital policy IS to give boosters. Please make sure your parents are aware of this. The Service Unit will be enforcing this necessity of the correct information on medical treatment forms. If there are any special requests, make sure your parents put them on registration forms as well.
