I am always looking for caring foster homes that are able to sometimes take dogs on short notice. Foster duration time can vary between just a couple of days, through to a couple of weeks. On the odd occasion it has been necessary to have a dog in foster care for a few months. Reasons for extended time in foster care vary, it could be just while they recuperate from being desexed, or time to get some of the abuse victims back to physical health and get them to learn to trust again. If you are able to foster and would like to be a friend to a GSD please click on the Friend button. All dogs who come into GSD Rescue are vet checked, vaccinated and neutered before placement. There is a lot of travelling to check out potential homes and to transport the dog to that new home. All this costs money which means some dogs cannot be saved. Donations to rescue can be made at Forrest Hill Vet Clinic 218 Forrest Hill Rd, Milford, Auckland. You can either donate to a particular dog or to the GSD Rescue in general. Please state that you donation is for GSD Resuce or give the name of the dog you are donating for. |
