MAC
Little Mac is waiting patiently for the day he can be released.
HE IS OUT
28 January 2003
He is between 4-5 months old. He has had 3 attempts to get him released but the Dog Control policy is that dogs have to be desexed before release.  Unfortunately little Mac has a slight temperature and the procedure will not be authorised.  Meantime he sits patiently in the pound longing for the day that he can begin life with John.   The delay in Mac going to his new home is heart breaking for John and you can see the love projecting towards this little guy.
Hopefully on Tuesday he will not have a temperature and little Mac will finally know the comfort of a warm house and a cozy bed.  Meantime John & I continue to visit Mac at the pound to make sure he knows he has not been forgotten.
JET
Jet was an "impulse" buy. The novelty very quickly wore off and Jet was sadly neglected.  The owners were approached regarding her care when it was obvious that Jet was beginning to suffer. She was terribly underweight and lacking in the necessities of life.  The owner then placed Jet in temporary accomodation with a kind lady for a few days but then took her back only to give her away. She vacated her property leaving two horses there without food or water. The neighbour took the horses in and was promptly presented with a foal the following day.  Concern over Jet led to lengthy amicable discussions with the old and recent owner and they both agreed to sign Jet over to GSD Rescue for rehoming.  Jet now lives in a completely different part of New Zealand and is settling in to her new home which has a dry bed, plenty of food, lots of playmates and the best thing of all - an abundance of love.
Jet, aged 14 months.  Now inside!!!!!
