CAMPING Personal Equipment List
Each
person attending will need the following:
qSleeping bag (preferably
rated to a minimum of 30şF)
qAir mattress/camping pad
(recommended)
qPillow
qExtra blanket (optional,
depending upon weather)
qPJ’s (sweatpants or thermals
would be best)
qChange of clothes for each
day attending– pants/capris, short-sleeve
shirt, long-sleeve shirt, socks, underwear
qClosed toed shoes!!!!! (absolutely no sandals
or flip-flops unless for shower)
qSweater or sweatshirt
qWindbreaker-type jacket
qWarm (heavy) jacket
(optional, depending upon weather)
qBandanas (2-3), optional:
beanie cap (for sleeping), cap/visor/broad-rimmed hat (for blocking sun)
qWash cloth, hand towel
qToothbrush, toothpaste
qHairbrush/comb
qMess kit: plate, bowl,
utensils, cups (for hot and cold drinks) in a mesh bag (no metal cups, please)
qSmall flashlight & extra
batteries
qFavorite stuffed
animal/small blanket
q*Personal first aid kit
(medication, insect repellant, anti-itch cream, Chapstick,
sunscreen, etc.)
Be sure to label/mark all items that you want to have brought back home. We have had leftover clothing at the other overnights.
*Kit should be marked with girl’s name and given to Troop Leader upon arrival. Troop volunteers are not allowed to apply lotions or give any type of medication to the girls without SPECIFIC, WRITTEN instructions from parents (including type of medication, amount to use, time schedule). Girls need to apply their own repellant, sunscreen, etc.
