GTR R31

I bought my car in original condition in 1995.
The first modification was a GTS cat-back 2 1/4 inch exhaust within the first week of owning the car.
Then it was lowered with Pedders springs, the windows were tinted,a Panasonic stereo with 8 stacker was installed with a 10" Kicker sub-woofer in a ported box, 6x9 speakers in the back and 6" splits in the front.

As for the motor about a year was spent just finding all the bits for the turbo set up.
I installed the turbo onto the original motor, and ran the set-up for about a year before removing the air-conditioning, and I installed a front mounted  AVO GTR intercooler, which allowed me to run 10psi (with adjustable boost)

Next was the twin throttle body set-up, which was the original inlet manifold (polished) with 2 original throttle bodies welded to it. (refer to pictures page)
At around the same time front and rear strut braces were fitted.
I upgraded the front brakes to GTS-X brakes (struts, rotors and calipers) and fitted a GTS front sway bar.
The automatic transmission was rebuilt with a 2800 hi-stall converter and shift kit.
Then came the wheels, 16x7 F90 style Simmons.

The next step was changing over to a ported and polished head and an AVO stage 3 cam shaft.

That's about it for the motor (for the time being!)
Then it was time to work on the body.
The front was replaced with a modified GTS-X coupe front and import headlights and a series 3 grille and bonnet and an electric spoiler was fitted with custom mounts to accomodate the intercooler.
The old 'rectangular' tail-lights were replaced with series 3 tail-lights, which I later changed to 86 model import tail-lights. (refer to pictures)
Braided hoses and polishing finished off the over-all effect.
