AmeriCorps Benefits
             What do AmeriCorps Members Receive?

AmeriCorps Members receive a modest living allowance and health coverage while participating in the program.  Upon completing a year of service, either 900 hours - part time or 1700 hours - full time, you will receive an educational award of up to $2,363.00 (PT) $4,725.00 (FT).  This award can be used to pay off student loans or to finance college, graduate school, or vocational training.  Beyond these benefits, you will learn new skills, take on new responsibilities, and know the satisfaction of building a community and helping our nation be everything it ought to be.
Educational Awards totaling approximately $722,980 are held in trust by the National Service Trust Office, Washington, D.C.  These funds are for approximately 110 part-time and 98 full-time AmeriCorps Members covering the duration of a four-year grant period, including the current year.  A majority of AmeriCorps Volunteers who have completed their service are attending the University of Guam with a few attending Guam Community College.
