JUNIOR YEAR CHECKLIST

_____ Take PSAT/NMSQT in the fall of the Junior Year
_____ Attend Higher Education Night at Salmon Run Mall held during the month of October
_____  Register for and take SAT's and/or ACT's
_____ Continue to monitor grades
_____ Carefully select courses for Senior Year
_____ It is important to demonstrate to colleges that you are taking a challenging course load
_____ Continue researching college choices.  See links below for college search programs. 
_____ Use the Choices Program located in the Guidance Office
_____ Begin making college visits during spring of Junior Year and over the summer
_____ Work on list of colleges you plan on applying for in the fall.
_____ Choose meaningful activities ....

SENIOR YEAR CHECKLIST

_____ Retake SAT/ACT's if necessary (November or January)
_____ Complete NCAA Clearinghouse forms for College Athletic Programs
_____ Attend College Application Parent Night during the month of September
_____ Meet with Counselor early in the fall to make sure graduation requirements are in order
_____ Complete College Applications  (target date toThanksgiving Break)
_____ Read monthly Scholarship Newsletter and complete applications by the posted deadline
_____ Attend Financial Aid Workshop in January
_____ Complete FAFSA Form after January 1st and, if applicable, the CSS Profile (as early as September)
_____ Start reviewing Financial Aid paperwork mailed to you from colleges in March
_____ Pick up local scholarships in April (packets are handed out during English or Social Studies class)
_____ Make final college choice in May
_____ Register for Summer Orientation Program at your college
