LINKS.
Good website for keeping up with the latest music news. Not as detailed as NME, but less evil.
An absolutley superb indie music store, fast and reliable with a huge stock. Buy Buy Buy!
Not quite as good as opalmusic but you may still find a bargain.
I thought I'd show some support for the exciting new band Bearsuit, go have a listen.
The best of the websites available that is devoted to everything Morrissey.
Everyones favourite music site, with a comedy edge to it. Still in development, but pop along.
Drowned In Sound.com (DiS), a poor mans NME/Q etc... Although a good place to showcase good young writers such as Mark Taylor. Deals mainly with mainstream indie/rock/punk.
Online-Noise is an enjoyable site. Reviews and interviews were all there and to a high standard, but seems to have shutdown. I hope it gets going again.
The Best Of Geocities.
www.oocities.org/mjareviews - Probably one of the best, if not the best music review site on Geocities. Despite missing reviews of key bands (I'm sure they'll get around to it) such as The Smiths (bias from me) it has links to all the other greats on the web, especially targetting the amateur web designers. Good chaps.
www.oocities.org/bozman123/rev/ - This site is small in comparison to most, but I'm sure it will grow and prosper. Most sites I have visted have praised this site in one way or another despite its limitations.
www.oocities.org/mdenster/albums.html - Again, a very good website on geocities (site of the week - 10/01/02) A large database with fair reviews but like most, it lacks modern up to the minute news and reviews. However, this isn't what most Geocities site are about and it manages superbly well.
www.oocities.org/noel_kjuss/index.htm - A lot of potential in this site, some good reviewers are presently writing on this site (something I would like). See how it's getting on.
If you want to be linked on Guideline Sounds, send an e-mail to link@guidelinesounds.tk
Good content on this website which deals with the same variety of music as Guideline Sounds, also a lot going on, so plenty to check out. Give it a try and some much deserved support.
Bandaids.co.uk is a database of unsigned bands. As well as the searchable database there are classified adds and venue reviews. Should be finished very soon and looks promising.
