Uptight Ben Holmes (Ben Affleck) is getting married to Bridget (Maura Tierney) in Savannah. First, though, he has to get to the wedding from New York City. After his plane nearly crashes during takeoff, Ben finds himself traveling south with free-spirited Sarah (Sandra Bullock). Sarah teaches Ben to open up and let loose. Ben teaches Sarah how to take responsibility for herself. But Ben gets more than he bargained for as the two endure fire, senior citizens, bus rides, strip bars, the maid of honor and best man, and hailstorms to get to the wedding on time. What happens when Ben starts questioning his choices, from his career to his impending nuptials?
