Johann's Clydesdale Review

Johohoo! Time to review the flying beetle, it's the last resort low level freighter that nobody wants.. Lies! I want it!

Its KRAPP!
Ja, the Clydesdale has a relatively weak hull but it has good turret placing (one does not fire forward but the others have a very easy-to-hit firing spread to them). Its quite slow at turning but it can defend itself well against low level attackers. In the early stages of the game, if you've been doing a bunch of missions and want to get a good first Freighter, the Clydesdale gives you 125 cargo units and a reasonable hull strength that is better than the Rhino, so you can survive pirates!

Convince me more!
You get 125 cargo compared to the Rhino's 80 and the Mule's 90. That extra cargo space saves you time and the weaponry slots total 3 main guns and 5 turrets, thats one class 3 and two class 4 main guns, with three class 3 and two class 4 turrets. The Clydesdale has enough firepower to give some pain back to the pirates who are wondering why you are surviving longer than they expected (due to the good hull for a low level ship!).

Final Words
Okay so it costs around 23000 credits, which is a tiny bit too much for what you get, which is just a prettier and better equipped low level freighter than the Rhino or Mule. I use it for low level freighting and that is what i think it does best. If you want to have more adventure and action then go do missions and buy yourself a Heavy Fighter. I'd advise the Clydesdale to any Freighter roleplayer.

Pros
Cons

Slow to move, slow to turn
Mounts good weapons for its type
