In a season of might bes and could a bins, the Pittsburgh Penguins are beginning to live up to the hype that they we getting when the team was first assembled. Now that all the young players have returned from minor league stints they have reeled of four wins in a row to climb into playoff contention in the Wales Conference. They have a long way to go but with this team it can be accomplished. There is an old saying in hockey, all a player needs is a change of scenery. That is exactly the case eith L.A. Kings forward Tim Connoly. While he was in Toronto onnoly was stuck on the third lin and could only manage 14 goals in 36 games. Since arriving in southern California he has 13 goals and 23 points in 21 games. The bigger thing is he is playing 22 minutes a game in all situations. This was definatly a great acquisition by gm Hollyoake. |
