DURING THE
INTERVIEW (A
LIST OF DO's AND DON'Ts ) 1.
Describe
your qualifications and experiences in positive terms 2.
Don't
be critical of past employers or job situations 3.
Don't
bring up problems, wither personal or concerning past employment.
At the same time, be prepared to discuss tactfully any
difficulties on previous jobs if you are specifically asked to do so.

Don't
be vague, evasive, or make up excuses 5.
Make
your answers informative, but stick to the point and be brief.
Don't give one-word answers nor be too wordy. 6.
Don't
be non-committal, overly casual, or indifferent. 7.
On

Discuss
your needs and preferences with an attitude of negotiation 9.
Use
inductive rather than deductive descriptions.
This means that you present your key idea first (such as, "I
am dependable") the support it with one or two clear examples

ready to ask questions -- about the company, about the specific duties
of the job, about when you will know the outcome of the interview, to
clarify a question you do not understand, etc. 11.
