ALPHA radioed in the Offensive TAG ZONE's co-ordinates, to the MARSHALS. As it was not too close (150m) from the CHARLIE FLAG, they scored 1 point. Asking for further TASKS, they were offered ATTACK or INTEL. Quickly choosing ATTACK, they were informed that they had upto 75 minutes to score DOUBLE POINTS for TAGS only. Not wasting any time, they moved forward into extended line. SPECTRE, MANTIS, WRAITH and APOC were all fired up. PAXO and Dodger returned to their TAG ZONE and moved off to defensive positions. All of CHARLIE were in camp and aware which direction ALPHA were coming. ALPHA moved forward with SPECTRE on the fenceline and APOC on the low flank. They had the sun in their eyes. |
ALPHA moved off to their Offensive tag zone, before radioing the MARSHALS. They opted to end the ATTACK Task, happy with the points they had scored on a hit and run. Instead they asked for another Task. Only INTEL was available, so they accepted it. The TASK was to watch a specific grid and report in any activity they observed. 3 points were available. Finding the grid on their maps, they moved 2 groups into position to observe the field. After 15 minutes, the MARSHALS moved into sight, before departing. |
HARDCORE 24 Hour Game |
ALPHA closed to within 100m of the flag and engaged CHARLIE in the fern field. Spectre was lobbing accurate fire into the "Sniper House" hitting Stinger. Wraith and APOC moved along the ridge, exchanging fire with STRIKER behind a log. Striker pulled back and ALPHA advanced. Spectre Tagged Chopper. While MANTIS peppered PAXO and DODGER. The CHARLIE players quickly rejoined and sought better cover. Wraith pushed up under covering fire, picking off RAZER, before backing off. |
APOC moved further downhill, onto the path. Only to come under fire from AXEMAN who had been patiently sat on sentry since his Recce earlier. Chopper backed him up, grabbing his APS from his bivie. He let down a volley of long range shots, withdrawing after taking a heavy burst from APOC's AUG. Many of CHARLIE were now at the top fence, 50m from Spectre's position. Happy with their Tag count, ALPHA gave the call to withdraw and they moved back covering each other. CHARLIE followed up 50m, with RAZER pushing up front. But they had lost contact. |
MANTIS reported that he had seen the MARSHALS move in from different directions, swap jackets and then leave towards the Safe Zone together. "What else?" asked the MARSHALS. "they shook hands and hugged when they met!" whispered Lonepig from his OP. "I'm touched!" remarked SPECTRE over the radio. 3 Points scored for ALPHA. |
