Developed a new product for the existing line of web content management tools. This new product was a basic web site search program which could be configured to search web pages from a number of topics.

• Performed a competitive analysis for features available in existing free and for cost search engine products.
• Produced a product specification document containing all required features as well as features for future consideration.
• Implemented HTML parsing and document matching code. The search engine supported a number of features: term weighting by document section, european character conversion, case-sensitive searching, sub-string and exact phrase searching, boolean and/or searching, configurable list of words, files and directories to ignore during search.
• Implemented context extraction and highlighting on search results page.
• Implemented search statistics and reports on most recent and top searches resulting in success or nothing found.
• Made use of existing web application development library to build the program's user interface.
• Developed unit test plans throughout development to ensure the HTML parser and document matcher was always operating properly.
• Product released and was well received. Product also used on Interactivetools.com web site
