Just 14 miles North of Inverness, en route to Skye, Orkney and the Western Isles, the McGregors welcome you to Faebait Lodge, a converted gamekeeper's cottage in peaceful Glen Ord.

An ideal base to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside, Loch Ness,Glen Affric, the Black Isle and much more.

Apart from the magnificent Highland scenery, the area has much to interest the historian, Fort George, Culloden Battlefield and Urquhart Castle to mention but a few.

Bird and wildlife are abundant. This is red kite, osprey, golden eagle and hen harrier territory.

Other wildlife includes bottle nose dolphins in the Moray Firth, otter, pine marten, roe and red deer, foxes and in the reptile world, adders, slow worms and common amphibians.

We are only too pleased to share our knowledge of this wild life with our guests, and advise on those secret places that the brochures do not show.
