DADDY CRIES
DAD, I AM PREGNANT
Was the first time I saw him cry,
there wann't a tear in his eye.
Just the old man, coming out;
he didn't scream, he didn't shout.
DAD, HE'S DEAD
Was the second time,
and one tear slipped from his eye.
The old man, came out a little more,
he didn't scream, he didn't shout.
DAD, SHE'S DEAD
Was the third,
and there were two, one from each eye.
The man, he was almost out,
he didn't scream, he didn't shout.
DAD, I HAVE CANCER
Was the last,
the tears roared from his eyes.
The man was there,
he did a scream-squeak, he did a shout-whine.
