Sire

You lie naked on the bed

Your body tired from the fight

Your equipment big even in relaxation

Your muscles hard - taught with subdued might

Your body furred and flecked with the grey of life

Your face molded with a salt & pepper beard

And deep set eyes

Surrounded by crinkles

From laugh filled times

I know your arms will enfold me comfortably

When I crawl in for the night
