Comfortable
Why do we hang on?
When love has long
Worn out its stay
Comfortable in our ways
Why did I let you think?
You could have it
When I knew it would not
remain
Comfortable and I liked it
that way
And when I enlightened you
You denied what was said
Creating an acceptable story
Comfortably in your head
And when we confronted
The fiction
In which we had lived
Comfort for neither could be
had
