Flowery

You think love

Is like a blossoming rose,

Or a beauteous day,

Like the feel of warm covers

in a chilling dawn

Can't you just say something

with direct denotation

and not glaze it

with frosting

that obscures any real meaning

it might have known

if everything is elaborate

then it is not from the soul

it is all fluff don't  you see

with no deep understanding

or insight

of its own
