Star
Don't give roses
to an aged star
it will only remind her
of the beauty she was
every dying petal
signifying the days - years
she has lost
and strives to retain
at a surgeons cost
but in the end will not
instead bring her a potted plant
Whose beauty
Is not fleetingly
Whose leaves, flowers
Renew
And are never really lost
give her reason
one that continually grows
remind her
of the life she still holds
