Slash (but not very graphic for it to be NC-17, I just couldn't go THAT far) Chapter 1: it's very long, please bare with me...im still working on chapter 2 Silende entered the vast, wide-open court. “Over here!” said a voice behind him, it was Nihlindir, Thranduil’s other son. Silende walked over, eyeing the new faces of the court. “I see there are many new people here than there were before.” Nihlindir nodded, “Yes, I suppose. Oh!” said Nihlindir jumping up, “Have you met my brother? Legolas?” Silende shook his head, “I do not think so…” as he said that, a tall slim figure rose up from the seat next to Nihlindir. “I don’t think so either.” Said the figure, smiling. “Oh!” said Nihlindir, “Legolas this is Silende. He is going with you to Rivendell, when you decide the fate of the ring.” Silende nodded, “I see.” Not really paying any attention to Nihlindir, he watched Legolas. His beautiful iris eyes, and his golden hair that glittered in the sunlight, and his soft milky white skin, how he longed to- Silende shook his head, he had been having these odd feelings for a while, but he wasn’t very sure why. Not that it was against the law to have these feelings, but most who did, were looked down upon, as being dirty, or a mistake. There weren’t that many in Mirkwood, who had the same feelings. The ones that did though, often-left Mirkwood, for fear of someone finding out, and them being labeled as an outcast. Silende looked back up at Nihlindir who was talking about music of all things. Silende glanced at Legolas, who was laughing along, and smiling at whatever Nihlindir was saying. He watched as Legolas’s soft ruby lips parted in a smile, revealing his perfect white teeth. Silende still stood there staring, until Legolas turned to him and said, “Is something wrong Silende?” Silende shook his head, “Oh no, my Prince. I was just lost in thought, that was all.” Legolas nodded, “It is ok, I often find myself lost in thought as well.” Silende smiled, “If you’ll excuse me my Prince.” He nodded to Legolas and then Nihlindir. Silende slowly backed away, and then turned around, and walked quickly to the garden. He had to get away, was it too obvious? He had a feeling, deep in the pit of his stomach, that somehow, Legolas knew. But how could he? Silende walked over to the stone fountain, and looked down at the crystal clear water, watching his reflection. He could feel two small tears escaping from the corners of his eyes, each one dropping into the cool water, and creating a ripple effect. He tried to brush away the few others that were trying to escape, he couldn’t cry. Not here, not now. “Are you alright?” he heard a soft voice behind him. Silende brushed away the rest of the tears, “Yes I suppose.” He turned around, only to see himself standing face to face with Legolas. “Oh…my Prince.” He bowed. Legolas smiled and placed a hand upon his head, “There is no need for that here.” Silende looked up at him, “Why did you come out here, my Prince. I am sure that there are many people wanting to talk to you.” Legolas sighed, “Yes I suppose, but I had to get away from the court for a while. I rather dislike being the center of attention, and having all these people come up and ask me questions. I’d rather be out here with nature.” He said fondling a rose. “What about you?” asked the Prince, “What are you doing out here?” Silende sighed, “I suppose for the same reason my Prince.” He said bowing his head. Legolas frowned, “Is something troubling you?” Silende looked up at him in surprise, “Oh…no not really.” Legolas sat down on the edge of the fountain, “Tell me. What troubles you?” Silende frantically tried to think up a reason to tell the prince. He couldn’t tell him about…his feelings. But what if the Prince understood? Silende looked into Legolas’s Iris eyes and said, “I’ve been having these, feelings lately…” his voice trailed off. Legolas looked up at him, “What kind of feelings?” Silende fiddled with the cuff of his sleeve, “Just…odd ones…” his voice trailed off again. He could feel a soft hand over his, he looked up and he saw Legolas smiling. “Odd? How?” Silende stuttered looking down at Legolas’ hand on his, “I…I…I’m not sure…” His blew eyes quickly went from Legolas’s face to his hand. “You can tell me Silende. I will not say anything.” Said the Prince; his iris eyes looking straight into Silende’s blue ones. “Or,” said the Prince, “You could just let go…” Legolas leaned closer to Silende’s face, “I think I know the feelings you are having,” he placed his other hand on Silende’s face, “For I feel them as well.” Silende blushed, “Prince…I…” Legolas put a finger to Silende’s lips, “Be quiet, and don’t say a word.” Legolas wrapped his arms around Silende, and gently kissed him. Silende gave in, right then and there. It didn’t feel wrong at all, somehow, it felt so right. He could feel Legolas kissing his neck, the soft ruby lips on the milky white skin. Silende sighed, “Keep going…Legolas…” Silende ran his fingers through Legolas’s soft blonde hair. Legolas suddenly stopped, and looked to his left. “Why have you stopped Legolas?” asked Silende, looking in the same direction but he did not see anything. “Come on,” Said Legolas giggling, “I think someone saw us, though I am not sure of it.” Legolas grabbed Silende’s hand and led him deeper into the garden, “In here,” said Legolas, “Is where we will find a little more privacy.” Legolas led him over to a small waterfall, and a few trees. “Are you sure no one will see us here?” asked Silende. Legolas turned around and smiled, “I am sure no one will. Everyone is in court, and no one would ever come out here this time of day. Besides, who’s going to tell?” Legolas stroked the left side Silende’s milky white face. He gently kissed him again, and pushed him down onto the ground. Legolas unlaced Silende’s breeches, “And now,” he said, “For a bit of the action.” Silende laughed, “Action?” Legolas smiled at him still unlacing his breeches, “How long do you suppose this is going to take?” Silende looked up at him, “Oh…I don’t know…depends on how tight they are…” Suddenly, Legolas stopped again. Silende sat up, “Legolas, why have you stopped again?” Legolas jumped up, “Someone is over there, I can sense them.” Legolas heard heavy footsteps, and a few branches crack. Silende stood up, and tied his breeches again. He put a hand on Legolas’s shoulder. Legolas pulled a dagger out of one of his boots. “This isn’t an elf. Its footsteps are too heavy.” Silende backed up against a tree, “Legolas,” he whispered, “What should I do?” Legolas turned around, “Just back away slowly.” Legolas studied the bushes for a moment; he could see two yellow eyes shining. “Whatever you are,” he said bravely, “You should turn back now, or else I will have no choice but to kill you.” “With a dagger that size? Tsk, tsk tsk. I would have thought better of you Legolas. Maybe a sword on hand, or a bow and arrow. Or maybe you didn’t want to carry everything with you, for fear of crushing your lover.” Said a deep and rugged voice. A figure appeared out of the bushes. A hood covering most of its face. “Who are you?” asked Legolas, “What do you want?” The figure smiled, “I knew you’d be out here, so I followed you. I just wasn’t expecting, this.” Legolas lowered his dagger, “Aragorn? What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be in Rivendell?” Aragorn lowered his hood, a smile stretching across his rugged face. “Yes, but I was sent here to meet with your father, before I went anywhere. It seems he hasn’t seen me for so long, that he felt I should come for a visit.” Legolas smiled, “My father always favored you.” He pushed the few wisps of blonde hair away from his face. Aragorn looked at Silende, “And who is this?” Legolas blushes, “Oh…this is Silende. He is also coming to Rivendell.” Silende bowed his head, his face turning a bright red, “Aragorn.” Aragorn smiled, “More than just friends I suppose?” Legolas looked down at his feet, “Yes, I suppose.” Aragorn laughed, “I will not say anything. Do not worry.” Legolas nodded, “You can trust Aragorn.” Aragorn turned to Legolas, “I suppose we should be going in? Tis almost supper, and everyone will be wondering where you went off too.” Legolas could smell the ale on his breath, and he noticed the ripped blood stained clothes, “Aragorn what has happened to you?” he asked. Aragorn sighed, “I accompanied the ring bearer to Rivendell. And there was a little problem with the Ring wraiths.” Legolas smiled, “Ahh…well I will see to it, that you will have your own chambers, and a bath.” Aragorn bowed, “Thank you my prince, let us continue down the path.” Legolas turned to him, “Wait a second, you can go ahead Aragorn. I need to talk to Silende for a moment.” Aragorn nodded. “I will meet you in the hall.” Legolas bowed, and turned back to Silende. Kissing the tip of his pointed ear he said, “It will be ok Silende, I will not let anything happen between us.” Silende gently kissed Legolas’s ruby lips, “Ok then…my Prince.” Legolas took his hand, “I don’t care what anyone says.” Silende nodded, as they continued to walk down the path hand in hand. Once they reached the palace, Legolas said, “I will be right back, I must get changed.” Silende nodded, and made his way into the hall. Legolas ran up the winding staircase to his chambers. He quickly shut the door behind him. He pulled off his shirt, and his dirty breeches. He grabbed a pair of clean breeches and slipped them on. He grabbed his green silk tunic, and slipped it on over his head. He quickly braided his hair, and carefully placed the silver circlet upon his head. He entered the hall, and everything came to a hush. The prince had arrived and everyone had to be quiet. He watched as everyone bowed his or her heads as he made his way down the hall’s aisle. He could feel all eyes on him; he turned his head to the left and saw Silende bowing before him like the others. Silende slowly looked up at him, he looked so beautiful. His golden hair glittering, the circlet, making it glitter even more. His silk tunic, which brought out the milky color of his skin. His iris eyes watching each and everyone of the court. Legolas slowly made his way to his seat next to his father and Nihlindir. Legolas bowed to his father Thranduil, who placed his hands upon Legolas’s head, and whispered something in his ear. Legolas smiled and sat down next to him. Thranduil stood up, “First of all, I would like to congratulate my son Legolas, on being called to Rivendell, to the council of Elrond. Where they will discuss the fate of the ring. Three others will go with him, those of whom are filled with courage.” Legolas turned his head to see Silende standing with the other two men who were called to Rivendell. Silende fidgeted with his sleeves again, he was nervous when he was the center of attention. He looked up to see Legolas smiling at him. He looked even more beautiful under the court lights. “Let the feast begin!” were the only words Legolas caught as he kept on studying Silende. Thranduil turned to Legolas; “I have the utmost faith in you my son.” He placed a hand on his shoulder, Legolas smiled. “As I have the utmost faith in my companions.” Legolas asked the man who was waiting on them for a piece of paper and a quill. The man gave him a puzzled look, but continued to do as he was told. Legolas quickly scribbled down a note. He turned to the waiter, “Give this to Silende please.” The man bowed, and quickly made his way over to Silende’s table. The waiter bowed as he handed the note to Silende, “This is from Prince Legolas.” Silende nodded a ‘Thank you’. He quickly opened the note and read: Silende, It seems it has been forever since I have held you in my arms. Please meet me in corridor after supper. Yours, Legolas Silende looked up to see Legolas looking at him. Silende quickly smiled, and mouthed a ‘Yes’. Legolas smiled and bowed his head. After supper, when usually everyone started talking. Legolas ran to the dark corridor in the hallway, he saw a dark figure standing there “Silende?” he asked. The figure came out in the light, “You wanted to see me my Prince?” Legolas smiled, and kissed Silende’s soft lips, “Yes.” Legolas gently eased him up against the wall. He slid his hand down into his breeches, and gently stroked Silende’s elf hood. Silende moaned as Legolas gently touched the tip, while kissing his soft lips. Silende sighed; Legolas had found his most sensitive spot. “I cannot resist you…” sighed Silende. Legolas smiled, “That is good then…” Legolas continued to kiss Silende’s lips, and then slowly made his way down to his neck. Legolas nibbled gently on his neck, breaking the skin accidentally. The sweet elven blood dripped slowly from his neck, and onto the Prince’s lips. The Prince licked the small trail of blood off of Silende’s milky skin. The sweet taste in his mouth was more than enough to bear. Silende opened his eyes again, to see the young Prince smiling. He put a finger up to his neck to feel the spot where he was bleeding from, “You bite…hard.” He said, as Legolas leaned in to kiss him again. “Though…it feels so good…it hurts,” moaned Silende, being interrupted by Legolas pressing his soft ruby lips up against his own. Legolas took Silende’s hand and slowly slid it down his breeches, “Touch me…” he whispered, “ I need to feel it too.” Legolas kissed him again, still stroking Silende’s elf hood gently. Silende reluctantly obeyed Legolas, and fondled his elf hood. He moaned at the touch of the soft fingers against his own warm flesh. Suddenly, the two elves heard voices. Legolas pulled his hand quickly out of Silende’s breeches as Silende did the same. Silende touched the spot on his neck again, trying to get rid of some of the blood. Legolas straightened his tunic. “Supper is obviously over,” He whispered, “Let’s continue down the hallway before anyone sees us.” Legolas led Silende out into the well lit hallway, where many of the other elves were leaving the hall, either talking or going back to they’re chambers. Silende turned to Legolas, “Let me walk you back to your chambers my Prince.” He bowed. Legolas nodded while waving his hand, “If you must.” He smiled at Silende. Once they had reached the Prince’s chambers, Legolas turned to Silende and said, “I had a wonderful evening. I will see you tomorrow night.” He kissed Silende quickly on the cheek, and opened the door to his chambers. “Good night.” He said, as he shut the door behind him. Silende sighed, and continued down the winding staircase to his own chambers. Once he had reached them, he stepped inside, and sat down in front of his mirror. He studied the small puncture on his neck, which had finally stopped bleeding. “Well Silende,” he said to him self, “I guess I taste pretty good.” He laughed. He slowly got up and changed for bed. He slipped between the silk sheets on his bed, and closed his eyes, falling into a deep and sweet slumber. Legolas quickly got undressed laying his clothes off to the side. He took the circlet of his head and placed it on his dresser. He pulled a clean white tunic on over his head, and quickly unbraided his hair, brushing it a bit. Though he did not go to bed. Legolas grabbed his journal and quickly and quietly made his way down the dark winding staircase. He quickly ran across the cold stone floor to the garden. Every night, he came to the garden. It was his little thinking spot, where he could just get away from the world for a while, even if it was only for a few minutes. Legolas quickly made his way over to a small stone bench near the fountain where he had met Silende earlier. He sat down, and pulled out his journal, recording the various thoughts he had, about random things. He listened to the soothing sound of the fountain, and the waterfall in the distance. It was so peaceful in the garden at night. Legolas fingered one of the sweet smelling roses growing near the fountain. He closed his eyes, and drifted off into a dream. Silende awoke with a start, he rose up from his bed and walked out to the balcony, it was still night. He took in a deep breath, and gazed down at the garden. He saw a figure in white sitting upon one of the stone benches. Thinking he was dreaming, Silende rubbed his eyes, but the figure did not disappear. Stricken with curiosity, he quickly made his way down the winding staircase. He quickly ran across the hallway, and out into the moonlit garden. There he saw Legolas sitting on the bench, smiling at him. “I thought you’d never come down.” He said, rising from the bench. Silende blinked again, “You look…you look like an angel…” he said. Legolas smiled, his bright iris eyes shining. His golden hair glittering in the soft moonlight, his pure white tunic illuminating him. “Are you sure you aren’t an angel?” said Silende slowly approaching him. Legolas’s ruby lips parted into a smile, his white teeth peeking out from behind his two red lips. Silende reached out and stroked Legolas’s soft milky skin. Legolas drew closer to him, and pressed his lips gently against Silende’s. Silende ran his fingers through the golden hair. “I thought I was dreaming…” he whispered. Legolas smiled, “You were…” he said kissing him again. “I was,” said Silende, “Something awoke me from my dreams, and I came out onto the balcony, and saw you…” Legolas looked into his eyes, “And you came to me…” Legolas kissed Silende and slowly made his way down to his neck. “Because…love brought you here…and nothing can ever tear me away from you, I will always be here, and I do not care what anyone else says about us. I will tell the whole earth that I love you, and if they think it is a deadly sin…then let me die…” Silende smiled, “I also feel the same…” he kissed Legolas once more, running his fingers through the Prince’s golden hair, “I also feel the same…” he whispered in Legolas’s ear. Legolas kissed the pointed tip of Silende’s ear. He then suddenly stopped, “I hear someone coming,” he turned back to Silende, “Go back to your chambers, if they find you here with me. I do not know what will happen.” He took Silende’s hand in his and whispered in his ear, “I love you…” Silende looked into his eyes, “I also love you…” Silende let go of his hand and ran quietly into the hall again, turning back to look at Legolas. He turned away and ran upstairs to his chambers. Silende awoke to the bright morning sun in his eyes; he had forgotten to shut them when he left his room last night. He slowly got out of bed, and closed the curtains, keeping the bright sun out. He quickly brushed his hair, and pulled his leather breeches up lacing them quickly. He then pulled his tunic over his head, and headed out to the court, he was more than a little late, he was late. He ran down the hallway to the court. He stopped dead in front of the door, he quietly slipped through. And sat in the back. He looked up to where the King was sitting, he saw Nihlindir, but he saw no sign of Legolas. He looked around the court, but he didn’t see him in sight. He quickly rose up out of his seat, and quietly snuck back out the door. He ran up the winding stairs, and to the hall where the Prince’s chambers were. He quietly made his way up to the door of the Prince. Silende knocked on the door, “Legolas? Are you in there?” The door opened slightly, “Who wishes to speak to him?” asked a female voice. Silende’s eyes widened, a woman? “Tell him it is Silende.” The woman hesitated for a while and said; “He cannot see any visitors at this time come back later.” As soon as the door started to shut, Silende heard Legolas’s voice in the background, “Let him in Luinewaithele.” The door opened wider, and a woman with long blond hair, wearing a blue tunic greeted him with a smile. Silende looked at the woman in surprise, “Legolas I…” Legolas smiled, “No need to look surprised Silende, ‘tis only my maidservant,” he then frowned, “I decided not to come to court today, I do not feel like sitting there and listening to the troubles of Middle Earth. It is all too depressing for me.” Silende nodded, “I see,” he said, “But why here? You should be outside.” Legolas laughed, “You see,” he said, “That is where they would look first. They know I am always outside communing with nature,” he smiled, “besides, I need to spend some time indoors I suppose. Maybe have a bath, do some reading…” Silende nodded, “I see,” he said, “but this would be the perfect opportunity.” He continued quietly. Legolas looked up at him confused, “What opportunity love?” The maidservant looked up in surprise. Legolas smiled at Silende, “Do not worry, she does not care.” The maidservant blushed, and went along doing her work. Silende glanced at her, and then back at Legolas, “Legolas, what I mean is…remember what you said last night?” Legolas looked up in surprise, “You mean? Do you think we should?” Silende smiled, “I am game for it my Prince.” He bowed. Legolas smiled and rose up from his seat, “Let’s then.” He placed the circlet upon his head, and took Silende’s hand. Hand in hand they walked down the hallway to the court. Legolas swung the door open, and all heads turned. He took Silende’s hand in his, he whispered an “I love you.” Both walked down the middle of the hall, interrupting one of the members of the court making a speech. All members of the court became quiet, and heads bowed when Legolas passed them. King Thranduil rose from his throne, “Legolas my son, what are you doing?” Legolas smiled, “Father I have something to tell you,” he then turned around to speak to the rest of the court, “And to all the court.” Silende squeezed Legolas’s hand tight, “I have faith in you…” he whispered. Legolas smiled, “Father, and the court,” he said his voice echoing against the stone walls, “I have come to tell you all about someone. Someone who is very important to me,” He smiled at Silende and squeezed his hand, “You say that when you love someone, and you believe it in your heart that it is true love. You will be with that person for life; they are your soul mate. And that you must do everything in your power to provide for them, cherish them, love them,” he studied the faces of the court, “I am telling you this because there is someone that I feel this way about, and this person is,” he hesitated for a moment, he looked around the room at the many faces staring at him, watching him. He looked at Silende, smiling at him, his love, his one true love, “this person is, Silende.” The whole court gasped, and there were many shouts, “How can the Prince love one of his own sex? It is wrong!” yelled one, “You cannot love him! It’s not right!” said another, “He’s setting a bad example to the young ones!” Thranduil slammed his fist down on the table, “SILENCE!” he yelled. And the noise ceased. “SIT DOWN ALL OF YOU!” he yelled, the court obeyed promptly. Thranduil looked around at the court, “If my son wishes this to be so…then let it be so. He has finally found someone he can spend eternity with. And he is happy,” he then looked down at Legolas, “As long as you are happy my son. That is all I ask…” he raised his voice once more, “You are all dismissed! I must talk to my son and Silende alone.” Nihlindir stepped down from his seat, “Legolas,” he said smiling, “I never thought…I just never thought…” Thranduil came down from his throne, and placed a hand on his shoulder, “My son,” he said, “You know no matter what you do, you will always be my son.” Legolas looked up at his father, “Thank you father,” he looked at Silende, “I am going to be very happy with him.” He squeezed Silende’s hand. Silende looked up at Thranduil, “I know this is going to take some getting used to,” he sighed, “But I want you to know, that I love Legolas, with all my heart. And I would never do anything to hurt him.” Thranduil nodded, “Yes I suppose it will, as long as you two are happy. There is nothing stronger than the bonds of love,” he said smiling at both of them, “I wish you to a happy life together.” He placed a hand on the both of the young elves faces. “Welcome to the royal family, Silende,” he smiled, “Now if you will excuse me, I will have to explain to the court, why we ended so early. I will just say it was a small ‘family matter’.” Legolas smiled, “Thank you father for understanding.” Thranduil bowed, and exited the hall. The Prince turned to Silende, “Well love,” he said, “All I want now is you…” he placed a hand on Silende’s soft skin. He then slowly leaned in and kissed Silende, slowly and passionately, his tongue playfully touching Silende’s. Silende giggled, and ran his fingers through Legolas’s long blonde hair. “Legolas?” he asked, “What will happen if I cannot go with you? On this journey…” Legolas looked up at him, “You will come, I will make sure of it.” |
