The CH-135 Twin Huey is a twin engine, single-rotor (two-bladed) helicopter designed to transport troops into combat operations. It can accomodate 12 troops with weapons only, 10 with packs in summer or 8 with packs in winter; or, 6 casualty evacuation litters. It can also be used for VIP transport or, equipped with a rescue hoist, for search and rescue operations. It will ultimately be replaced by the CH-146 Griffon (Bell 412HP).
