Hi!

I'm Nina. This page hopefully will work out as an introduction. I have my husband, Mark, and my two daughters, Tiana and Ashlee. Ashlee just happens to have Down Syndrome.

I'm going to continue working on this page and our photo page. Please feel free to take a look. I have a link for new parents on this page. And I have a few links on our photo page. Hopefully I'll have this up and running so everyone can enjoy a nice site. I am new to this, so don't mind the construction going on.  Have a great day!

This is a pic of Tiana and Ashlee that I made through clip art. It was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. I used a Seattle picture for the background. And two different pics. One of each girl.
October 1, 1998 at 1:40 p.m. My daughter Ashlee was born. The doctor thought there might be something wrong. And she ordered tests. I found out when Ashlee was 2 weeks old, about her Down Syndrome.  But let me tell you now. My friends with other Down Syndrome kids are right. It should be called UP Syndrome!!!!!!

Ashlee is one amazing and wonderful child!!!!  And I'd never trade her for the world!!!!

I was 25 when I had Ashlee. I thought that it was impossible to have a Down Syndrome baby at such a young age. I was wrong for more obvious reasons than having Ashlee. There are 1 out of 800 pregnancies that have a Down Syndrome birth to parents under the age of 35. Amazing bit of info there.

The more suprising thing was my feelings. I was devestated at first  to find out that Ashlee was a Down Syndrome baby. Not that Ashlee has Down Syndrome. But the fact that I thought something was wrong with ME. I truely thought that it was my fault. That somethig I did made Ashlee have Down Syndrome. I know that isn't the truth now. So I have put together this page to show everyone my daughters. And to boast as to how blessed I am to have my daughters and my husband Mark. And I want people to share my joys with me.

I finally got DSL! That said.. I'll actually be able to update this page now! YAY!!!

Tiana is now going into the 5th grade. And turning into a teenager over night. I seriously am not readdy for this curve in the road so to speak.

Ashlee is going to a life skills class. Her speech has improved SO MUCH! And she's starting to learn her shapes, colors, and letters now. Her favorite phrase right now is "FINE" I have NO clue where that was picked up from LOL!
