The Delta Squadron Histories |
Nothing happens in a vacuum. Although probably some things should. But in this case, my good friend Steve introduced the idea of the Delta Squadron - loosely based on every 5 person team that has graced the airwaves from the late 70's on, usually courtesy of a Japanese ideal with bad dubbing. G-force, Voltron, Power Rangers, you get the idea. Complete with color coding - Red is always the leader. |
Delta Aquadron in it's current incarnation is a humerous, fun filled team that goes against a very odd toy-and-monster manufacturer that's just trying to cut a profit; essentially it's a role-playing venue for our friends to play in. But every fun story has it's dark past. Let me introduce you to a little back history. Very incomplete, but perhaps it will give the current team a little vision of it's own illustrious past. |
At the moment, this starts in the middle of a diplomatic mission to a world that greatly resembles our 14th century English Earth with far better technology. And mind magic. Did I mention the mind magic? Join our heroes as they realize they are not as invulnerable as they would like. This story is in two parts, Delta 1 and Delta 2. |
Quick explanation: The story was written as if it was being role-played; thus the little italic bits. Also the word Ruagh is used, which means red. In this case it is a culteral reference originally applied to red-haired leaders that is used by our bad guy to indicate Delta Squadron's red-coated leader. When I wrote the story, I couldn't think of a good name... |
