Liz knocked on Max's darkened window, it was 5 am. She had snuck out of her house because she had decided to tell Max the truth about her and Kyle and what didn't happen. For some inane reason she had a feeling if she didn't tell him now she would lose him forever.

Liz looked inside Max's window. Why wasn't he answering? She couldn't stand out here all day because her mom or dad might check on her. Maybe he was sleeping at Michael's; she guessed she'd just talk to him tomorrow. She couldn't wait to tell him, and then they would be able to be together forever!

Isabel was talking to Alex on the phone. " Alex, he's not here again! And this time he was gone since 10 last night and it's 7 am."

"Maybe he spent the night at Michaels'."

Isabel sighed." I called there Alex, I'm really worried about him."

"I think he just wants to be alone for awhile, and I also think that when he comes home you should refrain from hitting him and asking where he was!"

Isabel almost laughed, at Alex's stress on the word refrain. "Honey, what if he's hurt and he's lying in...."

"Hold on, pumpkin...." Alex said as he heard a knock at his window.

"Alex, you know I hate it when you call me that!"

Alex crossed the room to the window and looked through the peephole, and he was surprised to see Max. He opened the window and then ran back to the phone.

"Isabel, baby I'll call you back ok!" Alex quickly hung up the phone and turned back to Max.

Max stood in the middle of Alex's room waiting for him to get off the phone with Izzy. He had woken up this morning , momentarily happy until he realized exactly what he had done. Damn! He didn't know how he could be so stupid. He didn't know what he was gonna say when Maria woke up so he had run, just like Micheal had, and that made him feel even lower.

Alex looked at Max and could tell something had happened."You do know that, Isabel is hysterical right?"

"Yeah."

Alex waited, "What happened Max?"

Max would have smiled but instead he wanted to smash something at his stupidity, "First I kissed her, and..."

Alex figured he was talking about Liz. "So, It was about time..."

"No, no it wasn't supposed to happen, she belongs to someone else, and I..."

Alex was confused. "What do you mean she belongs to someone else, you're the only person she's ever loved, what..."

Max wasn't listening though and he continued to tell Alex what happened. "...and then I slept with her, it wasn't supposed to happen , how could I be so stupid..."

Alex was stunned, wasn't it just yesterday they weren't even talking to one another? "You and Liz slept together? I can't believe this!"

Suddenly, it dawned on Max and he realized that the reason Alex wasn't screaming at him was because he thought Max was talking about Liz.

"Maria," Max whispered.

Alex stopped talking, and gave Max a weird look, "What about Maria?"

Max lifted his head. "I slept with Maria!"

Alex's mouth dropped open and he braced himself by putting his hand against the wall. "You did WHAT???"

Maria opened her eyes and squinted at the light pouring in from the window. She lifted and touched the pillow beside her , knowing it was empty. She had heard when Max had dressed and left through the window. It hurt, to think that he was probably thinking of what a mistake he made, when she was revelling in the experience, in him. But she wouldn't cry she was teflon, besides she didn't have time, she had to be at work in half an hour, she was working the early shift today.

Maria lifted the covers and walked to the bathroom, she was very sore. She turned to look in the mirror and was shocked at what she saw. She had silver handprints everywhere on her body from the neck down!

Sheriff Valenti sat at his desk, he had just gotten back from Arizona on a trip with the kids. He smiled to himself, his son had it bad for Tess and he could tell she liked him too. They had gone up to his friend's house to spend the weekend. Tess had gotten to know everybody and everyone had gotten to know her. She was a great kid, always trying to please everyone, but when you got her mad she had a temper!! Amy Deluca had gone with them too, they had invited Maria but she had declined. But they had news for Maria and he didn't know how she would take it. Amy and him had decided to get married!

Maria looked herself over in the mirror and couldn't believe what she was seeing. She quickly took a shower and tried to get them off , but to no avail. She reached over to the phone and called Mr.Parker and told him she wouldn't be getting to work today. Just then, she heard the front door open, and quickly put on a robe to conceal her hand marks.She had forgotten her mother was coming back from her trip with the Valentis. She ran to the bed, stripped it and put the sheets in the hamper.

Maria sat at her dresser, when her mother burst into the room. The next thing she knew she was being covered in kisses and hugged to death.

"Hi mom!"Maria said, just a little overwhelmed.

Amy looked at her daughter and was so happy to see her, because she had something to tell her. " Hi, honey! Guess what? I'm getting married!"

Maria was stunned. "Wha..."

Amy didn't give her time to finish. "To Jim!"
