La Colonia
Our colonia welcomes children suffering from social  difficulties. The number of the children attending the colonia varies from 120 to 150 on average. The children are divided into 7 squadre (classes). Three suqadre (the seconda, the terza and the settima) are for boys, another two (the quinta and the sesta) are for girls and the remaining two (the prima and the quarta) welcomes the smaller childrend and these are mixed.  They are divided according to age groups.   Each squadra has a name and a grido, a sort of 'supporting chorus' for their squadra to be used when they win a game or get points at the end of the day.    Each squadra has a particular colour and a t-shirt with the Colonia Logo with the name of the Squadra on it. Each year a theme is chosen for the Colonia. During the whole of the Colonia, then, we present mimes, games and catechism, all based on this theme.

We try to impart the neccesary love and attention these children certainly need. We organise various crafts, games, outings and other activities to educate the children, and allow them have a good time.

Some of the activities we organise for them are: three half days at the sea each week, picnics in the country side and on mountains, to
acquaparks and other fun parks.

We clearly try to pass on a message of faith to these children, not by preaching but by our example. We try to do this with the spirit of the Blessed Mother Teresa and her Missionaries of Charity.
