10.10.06 - Jasmine & Amber's sites are now open. They have been updated with Dora graphics and just a couple pictures each, but HEY! It's progress for me! :)
9.24.06 - As usual, I am running behind on updates. So, just to say that I did something, I added a link to my photos on Bravenet and added new pics on there.
My grandmother died in April. In an effort to preserve all the history that she has passed down to me and my family, I made it a point to research as much as possible about my family and Ryan's. Unfortunately, his family isn't all that interested in genealogy, so they haven't been much of a help. But! I have discovered a lot of things about my own family by researching online. I've made it a point to contact family members that I've never met before. Some, like Ryan's folks, didn't seem to care, and others were just as excited as me to have someone to share their knowledge with. I've learned a few details that I have broken my heart, and I've come to treasure things that 6 months ago would have been junk to me. Heartache and joy, but mostly joy. This journey is one that I will never forget, and I hope to share my findings with you in the near future. My prayer is that I will finally be able to get in touch with my dad's sister, who I last saw maybe 15 years ago. I have desperately wanted to see her for so long because she has always held a special place in my heart, even though I've only seen her a handful of times. Ok, I'm just about to break down into tears. I will close for now. This seriousness is probably a shock, huh? :)
5.14.06 - Jasmine and Amber's sites have been temporarily closed until I can get them updated.
1.26.06 - I just did a little adjusting on Jasmine's site. I decided to make that site and Amber's will be just for their first years. I think I will add some more toddler-like pages for them.
10.20.05 - The last couple of months have been rough. Things got bad for my mother-in-law & best friend Friede, due to cancer, back in July. Sitting in a wheelchair, she & my father-in-law renewed their vows in honor of their 25th anniversary on August 27th. On August 29th, Hurricane Katrina came through Mississippi, and Friede died September 1st. I have lost my best friend. Amber's birthday party had originally been planned for September 3rd, but we buried her grandmother that day instead.
My digital camera has been damaged by a certain little blonde haired little girl (hmmm...can you guess who?), so that's why the pictures are in short supply. I would like to add new pics soon, but it all depends on whether or not certain little girls will allow me to (lol).
5.17.05 - I managed to do some minor updates to Jasmine's site and Amber's site. It's hard to believe that Jasmine is 2 now, and Amber is 8 months old & crawling!!
1.31.05 - As you have probably figured already, I have been very busy taking care of my two daughters lately. Amber is almost 5 months old now. Somehow I managed to find some time to finally build a site for her. It still isn't complete, but the link is here. I hope to update Jasmine's site soon.
7.26.04 - Has it really been 6 months since an update??? Wow, time flies. I am 6 weeks away from my due date and getting a little anxious. Jasmine is walking, running & climbing now! She's even had a little hair start to emerge!
1.20.04 - Sorry for waiting so long to update. Due to LIFE in general, it's been hard to find time to get online just to catch up on my email. Well, we have been blessed with another surprise baby, due September 7, 2004. Also, my cousins Traci & Jennifer are also expecting babies this year. Traci is due in July, and I am unsure about Jennifer's due date.
