....'As we approached, over a shimmering, saphire blue sea, the huge classic volcano shape of the island appeared on the horizon ahead of us.  This whole island is the volcano; steep sloping sides flow into the water and a cone shaped top, puffs continuous white gas clouds up into the blue sky.

.... our biggest regret was saying goodbye to the dear little dog who had been such a good companion.  We left her with food and fresh water...... and if we ever go back, we hope that she at least, will still be there.
