"Oh...well, I suppose that's acceptable.." Giles says, as he sits down at the table, "None of us have been able to get a decent rest lately.  However, you knew you had to be here, and regardless of your lack of rest, you should have been here.  But, I'm not going to waste my time wagging my finger at you.  We've got a lot of work to do before the sale in the morning."

"Sale?  That's all?" you inquire.  "I thought we were here to research demons or vampires or things with scales or something."
Giles responds, "Fortunately, the flow of dark forces toward the Hellmouth has decreased dramatically over the past few weeks.  Buffy didn't even find a single vampire while on patrol last night."
"How odd," you reply.
"And disturbing," Xander says.
"Yes, well, best not exert our energy dwelling on that subject.   We've got too many other things to do."
After Giles has handed out cleaning assignments to Anya, Xander, and Willow, he remarks that there are two jobs left.  He asks that one of you sweep the floors, and one of you replace the near-broken shelves in the display cases, where the fragile merchandise is stored.
Giles give you first choice.
"I think I'd rather..."

"...sweep.  My hands aren't as steady as they used to be."
"...fix the shelves.  I'll be very careful."
