I loved every second of that gig!!! It's gotta be my best one yet!! I couldn't believe that I nearly forgot to take my ticket and I was going to Glasgow!! For this, I had to text my boyfriend and tell him I couldn't make it to meet him before I went to town to take the train. I missed him so much..... it was the longest I'd not seen him for. Not since last Saturday when we went into town with his mates. I hated that so much and I was having sudden panic attacks for some reason. I was scared and nervous at the same time.
We went into town first then walked to the train station. Cat had a family value train card thing so we got the train for cheaper costs. The train journey was amusing. We were so loud and the guy in front of us were trying to sleep lol. All these guys never shut the fucking toilet door (which I was right next to). It's not the fact that it stank or anything like that but they should have had the decency to shut the door as it's not the most pleasant view to look into a toilet. I had to shut it for them....the nerve of them.
We then went round Glasgow shopping. For me, it was like giving a toddler a new toy for it's birthday. I was so happy and my face glowed cos I was there in Glasgow and I was gonna see InMe later. In our little shopping trip, I only bought 2 bracelets from Claire's. It was a black and purple star one and a silver curb chain. Cat bought an InMe poster especially for the gig. Nic bought a Superman t-shirt from Warner Studios. When we were walking about town there was a very very obvious sign that I noticed. None of the neds wore their socks over their trousers but it was probably due to the fact that most were still in school. We went into Forbidden Planet.....it was a sci-fi shop with all these comics and toys and shit like that. I found Neon Genesis Evangelion. It was an anime cartoon I totally loved when I was younger. Better yet, it was in English but I couldn't get it incase I wanted anything at the QMU. I also found Hello Kitty stuff!! I nearly started screaming but refrained myself. It was Hello Kitty all dressed up in a bumblebee costume!! Again, I could not buy it, due to not wanting to spend too much. And right there before my eyes when I turned around.....a Chucky doll. The very doll that has forbade me to even look at dolls since I was young. The very film that made me think dolls were evil and in the middle of the night, they come out and kill you like the toys you destroyed before. I was totally shivering.
Around half 4 or something, we phoned Laura (a girl who Cat had met on the InMe message board) and asked how to get there as we didn't know where to go. She told us to go to the Underground and stop at Hillhead and that we did. We met her and Colette there. They were both so cool. We arrived so early but we were in the front of the queue nonetheless. We met some of the other people from the message board. Mark and Jennifer, Mandy and Russel (although I admit that I didn't know they were going out at all), Hana and Paula. We eventually found out that Laura was only 14....I so thought she was older than that lol. She looked it and sounded it as well. Jennifer looked like a doll, I thought with her apple cheeks. She didn't seem the type to love Murderdolls but it's obvious that she does. Laura, Hana and Paula got to interview InMe for her website (www.oocities.org/inmemusic) but it was late......a good half an hour so she missed Slam Cartel, the first set. We went in about 5 minutes after 7 or something and people got wristbands for drink if they were 18 or over and we got searched too. I really didn't like the idea of someone feeling me up. It's just disturbed my whole privacy....I may have gone naked. I hated that so badly lol.
After Slam Cartel then it was Elviss. Both bands were alright, although most of the crowd never moved a muscle, whereas I was jumping about like a mad lunatic on the loose. During Elviss, I think it was, I went outside to find Colette and the rest of them. Me and Colette asked out guys for Laura. Most of them were so damn fine lol. I knew I had to behave though but it wasn't as if they would go out with me even if I was single, would they lol? When Laura, Paula and Hana eventually joined us, Laura and Hana did their own wee pit and the security person told them off. He ruined all the fun.....we weren't allowed to use flash in our cameras but good thing Nic had a zoom thing in her digital camera and what good fucking pics they were too. After all that, InMe came on!!! I couldn't stop screaming lol. Joe on the right, Simon on the drums and then Dave on the left. It was an absolutely brilliant set. Each song fantastically played much better than the actual album itself. Now I say this probably because I love them but most of the people I asked, enjoyed the gig too.
After the gig, we had lost the others but we went to find Nic's MD, which had been left with a girl, who seemed to be missing. We asked a few people and we eventually found it in the end. It was in a bloody box next to the door where people could have stolen it! It was already quarter past 10 or something and we had to go as Cat's parents were waiting for us back in Buchanan Street so we persuaded this woman to get InMe to sign Cat and Nic's stuff (I had not come prepared, sadly) and she did. Simon didn't get to sign the stuff though. I went to find the gang to say bye and that I did. I swapped numbers with Jennifer and Colette, which was really cool. We then had to go away, of course. On the subway back, we met this girl who was also at the gig. She was absolutely hilarious and was amazed that them 2 got their signed, she nearly fell over lol.
We eventually found Cat's parents and went home in the car. I hadn't had a decent meal all day.....just crisps and Ribena....how healthy eh lol. As if I wasn't getting fat enough, I go eat all that shit. We stopped off at a garage though and we bought stuff to eat. My bro phoned and my mum asked me where I was. When I told her outside Glasgow she was like....what?!? It then occured to me that I forgot to tell her that I was going to InMe instead of Placebo lol. Whoopsies......oh well. Got home about half 12 and yes absolutely fucking knackered. Left at 11:45 and haven't stopped off my feet. I'm surprised actually cos I found that I burned quite a lot of calories doing that and in the pit too :D Yay! Another achievement!
