Drowning Pools I have in my possesion two drowning pools of murky jade. Two black holes of endless wonder and infinite beauty. The two pools dance in the moonlight and shine in the sunlight, each one mirroring the other in a never ending ballet of the elements. Ice can tickle their edges, wanting nothing else than to master the pools, while fire breathes just below the surface, hardly hinting at its own existence. Jagged rocks rise and fall with the passing seasons and round stones appear like a reflection on a warm summer's day. As the days walk on and the nights fly by, more and more I want to hide the two pools away from the world. I want to protect them from the taint that corrupts all aspects of our world. But more and more I am realizing that not only am I unable to do so, but it is not my place to try. All I can do is share the pools with the world and help them survive. -HTC |
