Secret Admirer I'm smaller than a redwood Bigger than a shrub, The mightiest of the mighty oaks Couldn't break my love. When I see you in the hall My heart starts to flutter, I think that i might fall For my knees turn to butter. I watch you and all your radiance Just walk on by, I'd give anything in the world If, to me, you just said, "Hi." Your hair is strands of silk Flowing in a breeze, I really want to talk to you But my vocal chords just freeze. Your love is all I want from you My heart's already yours, I wish that if I say 'I love you' You'd say 'I love you more.' You are all that's on my mind Every day and every night, I wish that you'd be mine forever I wish that with all my might. I guess this poem's gonna end Although it doesn't have to, At first I was going to say 'Goodbye' But instead, I'll say I love you. -HTC |

A little bit of history: This is the first poem that I ever wrote just for the fun of it. It's rough around the edges, but that's the way I like this one. It's not really about anyone in particular just about some dude admiring someone from afar. |
