Strength My mind is exhausted My body is weak I'm not really here I just need to sleep I'm begining to drowse My mind isn't clear I can't pay attention To anything near My muscles are aching My fingers are numb My mind cannot function I'm deaf and I'm dumb Then I am filled With the strength that I know The adrenaline rush That always will show In my facial expressions And in my eyes too From the head in my hat To the feet in my shoes I am filled with the strength Given by God The strength of the weak The strength to go on Then I thank the Lord For his wonderful gift The strength of His love The strength to be His. -HTC |

A little bit of history: This poem is about the strength that comes when you are exhausted. When you feel like you can't go on anymore, God goes and puts his arms around you, gives you a great big hug, and carries you the rest of the way. So many times in our life, we try to do things on our own. If we trust in God and give it to Him completely, it will all be taken care of. |
