Untiled Always asking, never knowing Cautious keepers ever growing, Never finding, always wrong, Weak is weak and strong is strong Always following along. Stepping stones, they fly away, Looking for a place to stay Where days are nights And knights are dazed, Yellow jackets, green berets. What a message to convey, To live a life without and pray. Pray for understanding senses, Pray for fields without the fences, Pray for peace and love and joy And pounds and pounds and pounds in Troy. Forget the life you know and love And fix your eyes on Him above. No matter what you think or feel, Still serve the Lord with zest and zeal And release your heart of steel. You're strong enough this very day, So come on down and don't delay, Here's your chance to come and pray, To hear the words he has to say And end your daily dawn decay. Forever feeding ephemeral flames While freeing fears and knowing names And never gathering the fame We seek to find within the world Instead of in our hearts. -HTC |

A little bit of history: This was written during a crisis of belief that I had near the end of my high school career. It helped me come to grips with certain feelings that I was having, and guided me to the path of acceptance. |
