WYATT EARP GOOFS
Doc Holliday says he has "tuberculosis"; in the 1870s, everyone (even doctors) would have referred to it as "consumption".
The sweat on Wyatt's shirt while working in the garden.
When Wyatt, Ed and Bat Masterson are buffalo shooting near the beginning of the
movie the buffalo are clearly dummies (for obvious reasons). When the last buffalo is
shot and it tumbles to the ground, its horns can be seen clearly bouncing up and down,
indicating they are made from rubber and not real buffalo horn.
When Wyatt is bringing a prisoner to jail in Kansas, mountains are visible for a
short time behind the buildings (most of the movie was filmed in Las Vegas).
During the opening sequence when the overview of the cornfield is shown, you can
clearly see large curved track in the field. These are caused by the Circle Pivot
irrigation system used to irrigate the field. This did not exist in 1863.
When Wyatt Earp asks Bat Masterson his real name he says it’ "Bartholemew".
Bat Masterson's real name was William Barclay Masterson.
After Mattie Blaylock tries to kill herself, Wyatt Earp and Doc Holloday are drinking
liquor together at the bar. Doc pours two shots for himself. He then pours a third
shot and slides it across the bar to Wyatt Earp. The camera then focuses on their
faces and Wyatt can be seen pouring himself a shot which he drinks immediately
thereafter. The problem is that Wyatt never drank the shot that Doc poured for him,
and so he would have been pouring whiskey into a shot glass that was already full.
