Quran Confirms The Righteousness Of Companions Of Prophet
Muhammad [peace be upon him]
9:100 The vanguard (of Islam)
the first of those who forsook (their homes) and of those who gave them aid and
(also) those who follow them in (all)
good deeds well pleased is
Allah with them as are they with him: for them hath He prepared gardens under
which rivers flow to dwell therein for ever:
that is the supreme felicity.
57:10 And what cause have ye
why ye should not spend in the cause of Allah? For to Allah belongs the
heritage of the heavens and the earth. Not equal
among you are those who spent
(freely) and fought before the Victory (with those who did so later). Those are
higher in rank than those who spent
(freely) and fought
afterwards. But to all has Allah promised a goodly (reward) and Allah is
well-acquainted with all that ye do.
48:18 Allah's Good Pleasure
was on the believers when they swore Fealty to thee under the Tree: He knew
what was in their hearts and He sent down
tranquillity to them and He
rewarded them with a speedy Victory;
the ten people that were given
the glad tiddings of assurance of entering Paradise. They were Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Abdur Rahman ibn Awf, Abu
Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah, Talhah ibn Ubaydullah, az-Zubayr ibn al-Awwam, Sa'd ibn
Abi Waqqas, Sa'id ibn Zayd.
Sunan of Abu-DawoodHadith 4632 Narrated bySa'id ibn Zayd
AbdurRahman ibn al-Akhnas said
that when he was in the mosque, a man mentioned Ali (may Allah be pleased with
him). So Sa'id ibn Zayd got up and said: I bear witness to the Apostle of Allah
(peace be upon him) that I heard him say: Ten persons will go to Paradise: The
Prophet (peace be upon him) will go to Paradise, AbuBakr will go to Paradise,
Umar will go to Paradise, Uthman will go to Paradise, Ali will go to Paradise,
Talhah will go to Paradise: az-Zubayr ibn al-Awwam will go to paradise, Sa'd
ibn Malik will go to Paradise, and AbdurRahman ibn Awf will go to Paradise. If
I wish, I can mention the tenth. The People asked: Who is he: So he kept
silence. They again asked: Who is he: He replied: He is Sa'id ibn Zayd.
Al-Tirmidhi HadithHadith 6093
Narrated byAli ibn AbuTalib
Allah's Messenger (peace be
upon him) said to him, "You have a resemblance to Jesus whom the Jews
hated so much that they slandered his mother and whom
the Christians loved so much
that they placed him in a position not rightly his." Ali afterwards said,
"Two people will perish on my account, one who
loves me so excessively that
he praises me for what I do not possess, and one who hates me so much that he
will be impelled by his hatred to slander
me." Ahmad transmitted
it.
*Note:Shia’s excessively praised Ali r.a ,while Khawarijites hated him.

Sahaba’s/Companions Of Prophets Were Religious people.
Al-Tirmidhi HadithHadith 6224 Narrated byAbuHurayrah
Allah's Messenger (peace be
upon him) said, "AbuBakr is a fine man, Umar is a fine man, AbuUbaydah ibn
al-Jarrah is a fine man, Usayd ibn Hudayr is a fine man, Thabit ibn Qays ibn
Shammas is a fine man, Mu'adh ibn Jabal is a fine man, and Mu'adh ibn Amr ibn
al-Jamuh is a fine man."
Tirmidhi transmitted it,
saying this is a gharib tradition.
Sahih Muslim HadithHadith 6097 Narrated
byA'idh ibn Amr
AbuSufyan came to Salman,
Suhayb and Bilal in the presence of a group of persons. They said: By Allah,
the sword of Allah did not reach the neck of the enemy of Allah as it was
required to reach. Thereupon AbuBakr said: Do you say this to the old man of the
Quraysh and their chief? Then he came to Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him)
and informed him of this. Thereupon he (the Prophet) said: AbuBakr, you have
perhaps annoyed them and if you annoyed them you have in fact annoyed your
Lord. So AbuBakr came to them and said: O my brothers, I have annoyed you. They
said: No, our brother, may Allah forgive you!
Sahih Muslim HadithHadith 6167 Narrated byAbuHurayrah
Allah's Messenger (peace be
upon him) said: Do not revile my Companions, do not revile my Companions. By
Him in Whose Hand is my life, if one amongst you would have spent as much gold
as Uhud it would not amount to as much as one mudd on behalf of one of them or
half of it.
Al-Tirmidhi HadithHadith 6092 Narrated byUmm Salamah
Allah's Messenger (peace be
upon him) said, "He who reviles Ali has reviled me."
Ahmad transmitted it.
Sahih Muslim HadithHadith 7167 Narrated byAisha
Aisha said to Ibn az-Zubayr:
O, the son of my sister, the Muslims were commanded to seek forgiveness for the
Companions of Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) but they reviled him.
Al-Tirmidhi HadithHadith 5102 Narrated byAbuHurayrah
A man reviled AbuBakr and the
Prophet (peace be upon him) was sitting showing pleasure and smiling, but when
the man went on at length and AbuBakr replied to some of what he said the
Prophet (peace be upon him) became angry and got up and left. AbuBakr caught up
with him and said, "Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), he was
reviling me while you were sitting, but when I replied to some of what he said
you became angry and got up and went away." He replied, "There was an
angel with you replying to him, but when you replied to him a devil came
down." He then added, "AbuBakr, there are three things all of which
are true: No one is wronged and ignores it for the sake of Allah who is Great
and Glorious without Allah giving him great help for it. No one begins to give
intending thereby to unite ties of relationship without Allah providing him
with much more because of it. And no one will begin to beg seeking thereby to
gain abundance without Allah giving him still more scantiness because of
it."
Ahmad transmitted it.
*Note: A man reviled AbuBakr
and the Prophet (peace be upon him) was sitting showing pleasure and smiling,Prophet
(peace be upon him) did not ordered that man to be killed not did he called him
kafir[non-muslim].It is very sinful but it does not takes a person out of the
fold of Islam.
Sunan of Abu-DawoodHadith 4350 Narrated byAbuBakr
AbuBarzah said: I was with
AbuBakr. He became angry at a man and uttered hot words. I said: Do you permit
me, Caliph of the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him), that I cut off his
neck? These words of mine removed his anger; he stood and went in. He then sent
for me and said: What did you say just now? I said: (I had said:) Permit me
that I cut off his neck. He said: Would you do it if I ordered you? I said:
Yes. He said: No, I swear by Allah, this is not allowed for any man after
Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Sunan of Abu-DawoodHadith 4633 Narrated bySa'id ibn Zayd ibn Amr ibn
Nufayl
Rabah ibn al-Harith said: I
was sitting with someone in the mosque of Kufah while the people of Kufah were
with him. Then Sa'id ibn Zayd ibn Amr ibn Nufayl came and he welcomed him,
greeted him, and seated him near his foot on the throne. Then a man of the
inhabitants of Kufah, called Qays ibn Alqamah, came. He received him and began
to abuse him. Sa'id asked: Whom is this
man abusing? He replied: He is abusing
Ali. He said: Don't I see that the
companions of the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) are being abused, but
you neither stop it nor do anything about it? I heard the Apostle of Allah
(peace be upon him) say--and I need not say for him anything which he did not
say, and then he would ask me tomorrow when I see him --AbuBakr will go to
Paradise and Umar will go to Paradise. He then mentioned the rest of the
tradition to the same effect (as in No. 4632).
He then said: The company of one of their man whose face has been
covered with dust by the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) is better than
the actions of one of you for a whole life time even if he is granted the
life-span of Noah.
Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith
5.466 Narrated byHishams father
I started abusing Hassan in
front of 'Aisha. She said, "Do not abuse him as he used to defend Allah's
Apostle (against the infidels)." 'Aisha added, "Once Hassan took the
permission from the Prophet to say poetic Verses against the infidels. On that
the Prophet said, 'How will you exclude my forefathers (from that)?' Hassan
replied, 'I will take you out of them as one takes a hair out of the dough.'
" Hisham's father added, "I abused Hassan as he was one of those who
spoke against 'Aisha."
Revenging In Abusing Each Other Is permitted.
Sunan of Abu-DawoodHadith 4880 Narrated
byAisha, Ummul Mu'minin
Ibn Awn said: I asked about
the meaning of intisar (revenge) in the Qur'anic verse: "But indeed if any
do help and defend themselves (intasara) after a wrong (done) to them, against
them there is no cause of blame." Then Ali ibn Zayd ibn Jad'an told me on
the authority of Umm Muhammad, the wife of his father. Ibn Awn said: It was believed that she used
to go to the Mother of the Faithful (i.e. Aisha). She said: The Mother of the Faithful said: The Apostle of Allah
(peace be upon him) came upon me while Zaynab, daughter of Jahsh, was with us.
He began to do something with his hand. I signalled to him until I made him
understand about her. So he stopped. Zaynab came on and began to abuse Aisha.
She tried to prevent her but she did not stop.
So he (the Prophet) said to Aisha: Abuse her. So she abused her and dominated her. Zaynab then went to Ali and said: Aisha abused you and did (such
and such). Then Fatimah came (to the
Prophet) and he said to her: She is the favourite of your father, by the Lord
of the Ka'bah! She then returned and
said to them: I said to him such and such, and he said to me such and such.
Then Ali came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and spoke to him about that.
*Note:The details are not available in hadith to know what were the reasons for abuse, but
certainly Ayesha [r.a] was right in revenging as Prophet Muhammad peace be upon
him permitted her.
Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 3.856 Narrated byAnas
It was said to the Prophet
"Would that you see Abdullah bin Ubai." So, the Prophet went to him,
riding a donkey, and the Muslims accompanied him, walking on salty barren land.
When the Prophet reached 'Abdullah bin Ubai, the latter said, "Keep away
from me! By Allah, the bad smell of your donkey has harmed me." On that an
Ansari man said (to 'Abdullah), "By Allah! The smell of the donkey of
Allah's Apostle is better than your smell." On that a man from 'Abdullah's
tribe got angry for 'Abdullah's sake, and the two men abused each other which
caused the friends of the two men to get angry, and the two groups started
fighting with sticks, shoes and hands. We were informed that the following
Divine verse was revealed (in this concern): "And if two groups of believers
fall to fighting then, make peace between them." (49.9)
Sunan of Abu-DawoodHadith 4762 Narrated byMu'adh ibn Jabal
Two men reviled each other in the
presence of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and one of them became excessively
angry so much so that I thought that his nose will break up on account of
excess of anger. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: I know a phrase which,
if he repeated, he could get rid of this angry feeling. They asked: What is it,
Apostle of Allah? He replied: He should say: I seek refuge in Thee from the
accursed devil. Mu'adh then began to ask him to do so, but he refused and
persisted in quarrelling, and began to enhance his anger.
Therefore,If Shia’s Abuse
sahabas ,one shold pray for their guidance and never think of killing them or
calling them kafir[non-muslims].By abusing they themselves are falling into
sins which will be punished unless Allah subhanawatala forgives.
Allah knows best
