The
Book of Virtue, Good Manners and Joining of the Ties of Relationship (Kitab
Al-Birr was-Salat-I-wa'l-Adab) Muslim
:: Book 32 : Hadith 6325
This
hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Abu Huraira and in the hadith
transmitted on the authority of Ibn Hatim Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon
him) is reported to have said: When any one of you fights with his brother, he
should avoid his face for Allah created Adam in His own image.
*Note:Allah
is light, without questioning “its meaning”.He Created Adam in his own image.
“Before thee, also, the messengers We sent
were but men, to whom We granted inspiration: If ye realize this not, ask of
those who possess the Message. Nor did We give them bodies that ate no food,
nor were they exempt from death.” [21:7-8]
25:
7. And they say: "Why does this Messenger (Muhammad SAW) eat food, and
walk about in the markets (like ourselves). Why is not an angel sent down to
him to be a warner with him?
[18:110
and 41:06] Say (O' Muhammad): "I am only a man like yourselves; it
is revealed to me that your god is one Allah, therefore whoever hopes to meet
his Lord, he should do good deeds, and not join any one in the service of his
Lord.”
”[Ibraaheem
14:11] “Their Messengers said to them: We are no more than human beings like
you
[06:50]
Say: I do not say to you, I have with me the treasures of Allah, nor do I know
the unseen, nor do I say to you that I am an angel; I do not follow aught save
that which is revealed to me. Say: Are the blind and the seeing one alike? Do
you not then reflect?
.
[12:109] & [16:43]And We have not sent before you but men (as messengers)
from (among) the people of the towns, to whom We sent revelations
[21:34]
And We granted not to any human being immortality before you (O' Muhammad),
then if you die, would they live forever?
Prophets Bukhari :: Book 4 :: Volume 55 :: Hadith 654
Narrated 'Umar:
I
heard the Prophet saying, "Do not exaggerate in praising me as the
Christians praised the son of Mary, for I am only a Slave. So, call me the
Slave of Allah and His Apostle."
15:28. And (remember) when
your Lord said to the angels: "I am going to create a man (Adam) from
sounding clay of altered black smooth mud.
55:14.
He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery.
76:76.
[Iblîs (Satan)] said: "I am better than he, You created me from fire, and
You created him from clay."
37:11.
Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger
as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains,
etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay.
7:7.
Who made everything He has created good, and He began the creation of man from
clay.
61:1. And (remember) when We said to the angels: "Prostrate
unto Adam." They prostrated except Iblîs (Satan). He said: "Shall I
prostrate to one whom You created from clay?"
[Sahih Muslim: Book 42, Number 7134]
A'isha reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him)
said: The Angels were born out of light and the Jinns were born out of the
spark of fire and Adam was born as he has been defined (in the Qur'an) for
you (i. e. he is fashioned out of clay).”
The
Book Pertaining to Piety and Softening of Hearts (Kitab Al-Zuhd wa

Muslim
:: Book 42 : Hadith 7134
'A'isha
reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: The Angels were
born out of light and the Jinns were born out of the spark of fire and Adam was
born as he has been defined (in the Qur'an) for you (i. e. he is fashioned out
of clay).
"And
verily Allah has informed us that the Angels came to Hadrat Ebrahim (alaihis
salaam) in the form of human and the angels appeared before Hadrat Maryam
(alaiha salaam) in the exact human form and Hadrat Jibraeel (alaihis salaam)
used to come before the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) in the form of
Hadrat Wahia kalbi and in the form of a villager and the people used to always
see him this way." (Al Furqan bainal Awliyah ur Rahman wa shaitaan, page
41)
11:69.
And verily, there came Our Messengers to Ibrahîm (Abraham) with glad
tidings. They said: Salâm (greetings or peace!) He answered, Salâm (greetings or
peace!) and he hastened to entertain them with a roasted calf.
"Once
we were in the presence of the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). A man
came to us. The Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) asked
Hadrat Umr Farouk (radi Allahu anhu), "Do you know who that person was?
Hadrat Umar Farouk (Radi Allahu anhu) said, "Almighty Allah and His
beloved Rasool (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) know better." The Prophet
(Sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said, "That is Jibraeel (Alaihis
Salaam)." (Mishkaat - ul - Masabih - Bukhari Shareef)
3:185.
Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be
paid your wages in full. And whoever is removed away from the Fire and admitted
to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the
enjoyment of deception (a deceiving thing).
4:69.
And whoso obeys Allâh and the Messenger (Muhammad SAW), then they will be in
the company of those on whom Allâh has bestowed His Grace, of the Prophets, the
Siddiqűn (those followers of the Prophets who were first and foremost to
believe in them, like Abu Bakr AsSiddiq ŃÖě <> <>), the martyrs,
and the righteous. And how excellent these companions are!
I Am
A Human Being & The Book Of Allah In Which There Is Right Guidance And
Light,
Muslim
:: Book 31 : Hadith 5920
Yazid
b. Hayyan reported, I went along with Husain b. Sabra and 'Umar b. Muslim to
Zaid b. Arqam and, as we sat by his side, Husain said to him: Zaid. you have
been able to acquire a great virtue that you saw Allah's Messenger (may peace
be upon him) listened to his talk, fought by his side in (different) battles,
offered prayer behind me. Zaid, you have in fact earned a great virtue. Zaid,
narrate to us what you heard from Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him). He
said: I have grown old and have almost spent my age and I have forgotten some
of the things which I remembered in connection with Allah's Messenger (may
peace be upon him), so accept whatever I narrate to you, and which I do not
narrate do not compel me to do that. He then said: One day Allah's Messenger
(may peace be upon him) stood up to deliver sermon at a watering place known as
Khumm situated between Mecca and Medina. He praised Allah, extolled Him and
delivered the sermon and. exhorted (us) and said: Now to our purpose. O
people, I am a human being. I am about to receive a messenger (the angel of
death) from my Lord and I, in response to Allah's call, (would bid good-bye to
you), but I am leaving among you two weighty things: the one being the Book of
Allah in which there is right guidance and light, so hold fast to the Book
of Allah and adhere to it. He exhorted (us) (to hold fast) to the Book of Allah
and then said: The second are the members of my household I remind you (of your
duties) to the members of my family. He (Husain) said to Zaid: Who are the
members of his household? Aren't his wives the members of his family? Thereupon
he said: His wives are the members of his family (but here) the members of his
family are those for whom acceptance of Zakat is forbidden. And he said: Who
are they? Thereupon he said: 'Ali and the offspring of 'Ali, 'Aqil and the
offspring of 'Aqil and the offspring of Ja'far and the offspring of 'Abbas.
Husain said: These are those for whom the acceptance of Zakat is forbidden.
Zaid said: Yes.
Judgments
(Ahkaam) Bukhari :: Book 9 :: Volume 89
:: Hadith 326 Narrated Anas bin Malik:
That
he heard 'Umar's second speech he delivered when he sat on the pulpit on the
day following the death of the Prophet 'Umar recited the Tashahhud while Abu
Bakr was silent. 'Umar said, "I wish that Allah's Apostle had outlived all
of us, i.e., had been the last (to die). But if Muhammad is dead, Allah
nevertheless has kept the light amongst you from which you can receive the
same guidance as Allah guided Muhammad with that. And Abu Bakr is the
companion of Allah's Apostle He is the second of the two in the cave. He is the
most entitled person among the Muslims to manage your affairs. Therefore get up
and swear allegiance to him." Some people had already taken the oath of
allegiance to him in the shed of Bani Sa'ida but the oath of allegiance taken
by the public was taken at the pulpit. I heard 'Umar saying to Abu Bakr on that
day. "Please ascend the pulpit," and kept on urging him till he
ascended the pulpit whereupon, all the people swore allegiance to him.
*Note:
Allah subhanawatala has kept the light amongst you from which you can receive
the same guidance as Allah guided Muhammad with that.
2:
154. And say not of those who are killed in the Way of Allâh, "They are
dead." Nay, they are living, but you perceive (it) not.
*Note:Humans
do not perceive it,as to how they are alive .And Prophets are alive in their
graves.
Deem
not the summons of the Messenger among yourselves like the summons of one of
you to another: Allah doth know those of you who slip away under shelter of
some excuse: then let those beware who withstand the Messenger's order, lest
some trial befall them, or a grievous penalty be inflicted on them(24:63)
*Note:Give
him respect,attention and obey him.
Sahih
Bukhari Volume 1, Book 8, Number 394: Narrated 'Abdullah:
The
Prophet prayed (and the subnarrator Ibrahim said, "I do not know whether
he prayed more or less than usual"), and when he had finished the prayers
he was asked, "O Allah's Apostle! Has there been any change in the
prayers?" He said, "What is it?' The people said, "You have
prayed so much and so much." So the Prophet bent his legs, faced the Qibla
and performed two prostrations (of Sahu) and finished his prayers with Tasiim
(by turning his face to right and left saying:
'As-Salamu'Alaikum-Warahmat-ullah'). When he turned his face to us he said,
"If there had been anything changed in the prayer, surely I would have informed
you but I am a human being like you and liable to forget like you. So if
I forget remind me and if anyone of you is doubtful about his prayer, he should
follow what he thinks to be correct and complete his prayer accordingly and
finish it and do two prostrations (of Sahu)."

(the

and opponents come to me (to settle their problems); maybe someone amongst you
can present his case more eloquently than the other, whereby I may consider him
true and give a verdict in his favor. So, If I give the right of a Muslim to
another by mistake, then it is really a portion of (Hell) Fire, he has the
option to take or give up (before the Day of Resurrection)." (See Hadith

`you call mankind to worship their Lord because He has commanded you to do so.
'
(and
as a lamp spreading light.) means, `the Message that you bring is as clear as
the sun shining brightly, and no one can deny it except those who are
stubborn.'
Tafsir
al-Jalalayn:
“O
Prophet! Indeed We sent you as a witness, against those to whom you have were
sent, and as a bearer of good tidings, for those who affirm your sincerity, of
Paradise, and as a warner, for those who deny you, of the [punishment of the]
Fire,
And
as a summoner to God, to obedience to Him, by His leave, by His command, and as
a illuminating lamp, in other words, the equivalent of it, in terms of one’s
being able to find guidance therewith”
“(O
Prophet!) He means Muhammad (pbuh) (Lo! We have sent thee as a witness) that
you have conveyed the message to your nation (and a bringer of good tidings)
i.e. Paradise to whoever believes in Allah (and a Warner) against the Fire for
those who disbelieve in Him.
(And
as a summoner unto Allah) unto the religion and obedience of Allah (by His
permission) by His command, (and as a lamp that giveth light) and taken as an
example to follow”
As-Suyuti
(rah) says: “a illuminating lamp” as in, “being able to find GUIDANCE
therewith”
Ibn
Abbas (ra) says: “and as a lamp that giveth light” as in, “taken as an EXAMPLE
to follow”.. And following the example of the Prophet (saw) is following his
GUIDANCE!!
“(Allah
guideth unto His light) Allah honours with knowledge; it is also said that this
means: Allah honours with His religion (whom He will) whoever deserves it”
24:35
Allâh is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The parable of His Light is as
(if there were) a niche and within it a lamp, the lamp is in glass, the glass
as it were a brilliant star, lit from a blessed tree, an olive, neither of the
east (i.e. neither it gets sun-rays only in the morning) nor of the west (i.e.
nor it gets sun-rays only in the afternoon, but it is exposed to the sun all
day long), whose oil would almost glow forth (of itself), though no fire
touched it. Light upon Light! Allâh guides to His Light whom He wills. And
Allâh sets forth parables for mankind, and Allâh is All-Knower of everything.
The
Parable of the Light of Allah
`Ali
bin Abi Talhah reported that Ibn `Abbas said:
(Allah
is the Light of the heavens and the earth.) means, the Guide of the inhabitants
of the heavens and the earth. Ibn Jurayj said: "Mujahid and
Ibn
`Abbas said concerning the Ayah:(Allah is the Light of the heavens and the
earth.) He is controlling their affairs and their stars and sun and moon.''
As-Suddi said concerning the Ayah:(Allah is the Light of the heavens and the
earth.) by His Light the heavens and earth are illuminated. In the Two Sahihs,
it is recorded that Ibn `Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "When
the Messenger of Allah got up to pray at night, he would say:
(O
Allah, to You be praise, You are the Sustainer of heaven and earth and whoever
is in them. To You be praise, You are the Light of the heavens
and
the earth and whoever is in them. ) It was narrated that Ibn Mas`ud said,
"There is no night or day with your Lord; the Light of the Throne
comes
from the Light of His Face.''
(The
parable of His Light) There are two views concerning the meaning of the pronoun
(His). The first is that it refers to Allah, may He be glorified
and
exalted, meaning that the parable of His guidance in the heart of the believer
is(as a niche) This was the view of Ibn `Abbas. The second view is that the
pronoun refers to the believer, which is indicated by the context of the words
and implies that the parable of the light in the heart of the believer is as a
niche. So the heart of the believer and what he is naturally inclined to of
guidance and what he learns of the Qur'an which is in accordance with his
natural inclinations are, as Allah says:(Can they who rely on a clear proof
from their Lord, and whom a witness from Him recites it (can they be equal with
the disbelievers)) 11:17.
The
heart of the believer in its purity and clarity is likened to a lamp in
transparent and jewel-like glass, and the Qur'an and Shari`ah by which it is
guided
are likened to good, pure, shining oil in which there is no impurity or
deviation.
(as
(if there were) a niche) Ibn `Abbas, Mujahid, Muhammad bin Ka`b and others
said, "This refers to the position of the wick in the lamp.'' This is
well-known,
and hence Allah then says:(and within it a lamp.) This is the flame that burns
brightly. Or it was said that the niche is a niche in the house. This is the
parable given by Allah of obedience towards Him. Allah calls obedience to Him
as light, then He calls it by other numerous names as well. Ubayy bin Ka`b
said, "The lamp is the light, and this refers to the Qur'an and the faith
that is in his heart.'' As-Suddi said, "It is the lamp.''
(the
lamp is in a glass,) means, this light is shining in a clear glass. Ubayy bin
Ka`b and others said, "This is the likeness of the heart of the
believer.''(the
glass as it were a star Durriyyun,) Some authorities recite the word Durriyyun
with a Dammah on the Dal and without a Hamzah, which
means
pearls, i.e., as if it were a star made of pearls (Durr). Others recite it as
Dirri'un or Durri'un, with a Kasrah on the Dal, or Dammah on the
Dal,
and with a Hamzah at the end, which means reflection (Dir'), because if
something is shone on the star it becomes brighter than at any other
time.
The Arabs call the stars they do not know Darari. Ubayy bin Ka`b said: a
shining star. Qatadah said: "Huge, bright and clear.''
(lit
from a blessed tree,) means, it is derived from olive oil, from a blessed tree.
(an
olive,) This refers to the blessed tree mentioned previously.
(neither
of the east nor of the west,) means, it is not in the eastern part of the land
so that it does not get any sun in the first part of the day, nor is it
in
the western part of the land so that it is shaded from the sun before sunset,
but it is in a central position where it gets sun from the beginning of
the
day until the end, so its oil is good and pure and shining. Ibn Abi Hatim
recorded that Ibn `Abbas commented on:
(an
olive, neither of the east nor of the west,) "This is a tree in the desert
which is not shaded by any other tree or mountain or cave, nothing
covers
it, and this is best for its oil.'' Mujahid commented on:
(neither
of the east nor of the west, ) saying; "It is not in the east where it
will get no sun when the sun sets, nor is it in the west where it will get no
sun
when the sun rises, but it is in a position where it will get sun both at
sunrise and sunset.'' Sa`id bin Jubayr commented:
(an
olive, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow forth
(of itself)) "This is the best kind of oil. When the sun rises it reaches
the
tree from the east and when it sets it reaches it from the west, so the sun
reaches it morning and evening, so it is not counted as being in the
east
or in the west.''(whose oil would almost glow forth (of itself), though no fire
touched it.) `Abdur-Rahman bin Zayd bin Aslam said (this means) because the oil
itself is shining.
(Light
upon Light!) Al-`Awfi narrated from Ibn `Abbas that this meant the faith and
deeds of a person. As-Suddi said:(Light upon Light!) "Light of the fire
and the light of the oil: when they are combined they give light, and neither
of them can give light without the other. Similarly the light of the Qur'an and
the light of faith give light when they are combined, and neither can do so
without the other.''(Allah guides to His Light whom He wills.) means, Allah
shows the way to the ones whom He chooses, as it says in the Hadith recorded by
Imam Ahmad from `Abdullah bin `Amr, who said, "I heard the Messenger of
Allah say:
(Allah
created His creation in darkness, then on the same day He sent His Light upon
them. Whoever was touched by His Light on that day will be
guided
and whoever was missed will be led astray. Hence I say: the pens have dried in
accordance with the knowledge of Allah, may He be
glorified.)''
(And
Allah sets forth parables for mankind, and Allah is All-Knower of everything.)
Having mentioned this parable of the Light of His guidance in
the
heart of the believer, Allah ends this Ayah with the words:(And Allah sets
forth parables for mankind, and Allah is All-Knower of everything.) meaning, He
knows best who deserves to be guided and who deserves to be led astray. Imam
Ahmad recorded that Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri said, "The Messenger of Allah
said:(Hearts are of four kinds: the heart that is clear like a shining lamp;
the heart that is covered and tied up; the heart that is upside-down; and the
heart
that is clad in armor. As for the clear heart, it is the heart of the believer
in which is a lamp filled with light; as for the covered heart, this is the
heart
of the disbeliever; as for the upside-down heart, this is the heart of the
hypocrite, who recognizes then denies; as for the armor-clad heart,
this
is the heart in which there is both faith and hypocrisy. The parable of the
faith in it is that of legume, a sprout that is irrigated with good water,
and
the likeness of the hypocrisy in it is that of sores that are fed by blood and
pus. Whichever of the two prevails is the characteristic that will
dominate.)
Its chain of narrators is good (Jayyid) although they (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
did not record it.
(36.
In houses which Allah has ordered to be raised, in them His Name is remembered.
Therein glorify Him in the mornings and in the evenings,)

from performing the Salah nor from giving the Zakah. They

them out of His grace. And Allah provides without measure to whom He wills.)

The
verse also means means: the likeness of the light of Muhammad in the loins of
his forefathers is like this, up to Allah’s saying (… kindled from a blessed
tree). He says: the light of Muhammad in Abraham was an upright religion (olive
tree), and Abraham was neither Jew nor Christian (neither of the East nor of
the West), the works of Abraham would almost glow forth in the loins of his
forefathers like this (would almost glow forth (of itself) up until Allah’s
saying (kindled from a blessed tree) He says: as if it is the light of Muhammad
(pbuh) and if Abraham was not a prophet, he would still have this light (though
no fire touched it); it is also said that the latter passage means: Had Allah
not honoured Abraham, he would not have had this light; it is also said: if
Allah had not honoured His believing servant with this light, he would not have
had it.[Tanwir al Miqbas Min Tafsir Ibn Abbas (Radhi ALLAH)]

dirrī'un or durrī'un, derived from al-dar', 'to repel', because it
repels darkness; or read durriyyun, derived from al-durr, 'pearls') kindled, is
this lamp (read past tense tawaqqada; a variant reading has the imperfect tense
of awqada, in the passive voice: yūqadu; another reading has tūqadu,
in which case the reference is to al-zujāja, 'the glass') from, the oil

almost glow forth [of itself], though no fire touched it, because of [the

Light,
by Him, upon light, by fire; the light of God is His guidance of the believer,
light upon the light of faith. God guides to His Light, that is, [to] the
religion of Islam, whom He will. And God strikes, He illustrates, similitudes
for men, by approximating [such similitudes] to their comprehension, so that
they might take heed and believe; and God is Knower of all things, including
[knowledge of] how to strike similitudes.”
So
Light Is Light Of Guidance.
-2:257
Allah is the Protector of those who have faith: from the depths of darkness He
will lead them forth into light. Of those who reject faith the patrons are the
Evil Ones: from light they will lead them forth into the depths of darkness.
They will be companions of the fire to dwell therein (for ever).
7:157
Those who follow the messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write,
whom they will find described in the Torah and the Gospel (which are) with them.
He will enjoin on them that which is right and forbid them that which is wrong.
He will make lawful for them all good things and prohibit for them only the
foul; and he will relieve them of their burden and the fetters that they used
to wear. Then those who believe in him, and honor him and help him, and follow
the light which is sent down with him: they are the successful.
21:48
And We verily gave Moses and Aaron the Criterion and a light and a
Reminder for those who keep from evil--
61:8.
They intend to put out the Light of Allâh (i.e. the religion of Islâm, this
Qur'ân, and Prophet Muhammad SAW) with their mouths. But Allâh will complete
His Light even though the disbelievers hate (it).
9:32
"Disbelievers desire to extinguish ALLAH's Light, with their mouths. But
He will not allow that except to flourish this light, though the disbelievers
do not like it" (9 - 32)
37:39"They
want to extinguish ALLAH's Light with their mouths, but ALLAH will complete his
light. Though the disbelievers detest it" (37 - 39)

Surely We revealed the Taurat in which was guidance and light”
5:46
“and We gave him (Isa) the Injeel in which was guidance and light”
42:52
"And thus did We reveal to you an inspired book (Quran) by Our command.
You did not know what the Book was, nor (what) the faith (was), but We made it
a light, guiding thereby whom We please of Our servants; and most surely you
show the way to the right path:
5:15
There has come to you light and a clear Book from Allah"
64:8Therefore
believe in Allah AND His Messenger AND the Light, which We have revealed; and
Allah is Aware of what you do.
When
thy Lord drew forth from the Children of Adam - from their loins - their
descendants, and made them testify concerning themselves, (saying): "Am I

Al-Tirmidhi
HadithHadith 94 Narrated byUbadah
ibn as-Samit
Allah's
Messenger (peace be upon him) said: The first thing which Allah created was
Pen. He commanded it to write. It asked: What
should I write? He said: Write
the Decree (al-Qadr). So it wrote what
had happened and what was going to happen up to eternity.
`Irbad ibn Sarya relates that
the Prophet said: “Verily I was written in Allah’s Presence as the Seal of
Prophets while verily Adam was still kneaded in his clay.” (Narrated by Ibn
Hibban in his Sahih, and al-Hakim in his Mustadrak.)
*Note:The Decree was written
initially.
· The Prophet also said: “I
was a Prophet while Adam was still between the spirit and the body.” Tirmidhi
narrated it and said it hasan sahih, and it is authenticated by al-Hakim 2:609
as sahih, and also narrated by Ibn Abi Shayba in his Musannaf 14:292, and
al-Bukhari in his Tarikh 7:374.
*Note:He was a prophet
,written in the book of fate.
15;29.
"So, when I have fashioned him completely and breathed into him (Adam) the
soul which I created for him, then fall (you) down prostrating
yourselves
unto him."
*Note:Soul
was created first then breathed into body.
`Amr ibn `Abasa said that the
Prophet said: “Verily, Allah created the spirits of His servants two thousand
years before He created His servants. Then whichever among them recognized each
other came close, and whichever did not, stayed apart.”
Suyuti in Takhrij ahadith
sharh al-mawaqif (p. 31 #10) says that Ibn Mandah narrated it, while Haytami in
his Fatawa hadithiyya says that it is extremely weak.
*Note:This hadith is weak but it signifies that spirits were created before human forms.
Qadi `Iyad said in his book al-Shifa’,
in the chapter on the nobility of the Prophet’s lineage:
Ibn
`Abbas said that the spirit of the Prophet was a light in front of Allah two
thousand years before he created Adam. That light glorified Him and the angels
glorified by his glorification. When Allah created Adam, he cast that light
into his loins.
*Note:Obviously
when the souls are created first they will be before Allah, here the hadith is
exclusively about prophet Muhamad salla lahu alahi wa sallam, the spirit was a
light, and it was cast into the loins of Adam alai salaam ,further it passed
from generation to generations till he
was born Prophet Muhamad salla lahu alahi wa sallam
when Adam (May Allah
bless him and grant Him peace) was being created, the noor of Prophet [May
Allah bless him and grant Him peace] was placed in Adam [May Allah bless him
and grant Him peace]’s forehead and Adam [May Allah bless him and grant Him
peace] saw Prophet [May Allah bless him and grant Him peace], Adam [May Allah
bless him and grant Him peace] asked “who is he?” Allah Ta’ala replied “He is
the last Prophet and will be the chief of your children.” (Al Wafa chap on
Birth of Prophet [May Allah bless him and grant Him peace] by Ibn Jawzi)
*Note:When Adam alai salaam
was created, the light of Prophet Muhammad salla lahu alaihi wa sallam was
placed in his forehead,it passed through all generation till he was born.
Al-Zuhri
narrated: ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Abd al-Muttalib was the most handsome man that had
ever been seen among the Quraysh. One day he went out and was seen by an
assembly of the women of Quraysh. One of them said: ‘O women of the Quraysh,
which among you will marry this youth and catch thereby the light that is
between his eyes? For verily there was a light between his eyes.” Thereafter
Amina bint Wahb ibn ‘Abd Manaf ibn Zuhra married him, and after he joined her
she carried the Messenger of Allah.[Al-Bayhaqi narrated it in Dala’il
al-Nubuwwa (1:87). Al-Tabari in his Tarikh (2:243), Ibn al-Jawzi in al-Wafa'’
(p. 82-83, chapter 16 of Abwab bidayati nabiyyina)]
It
is alleged a woman of Banu Asad who was the sister of Waraqa ibn Nawfal
proposed to `Abd Allah, but he married Amina bint Wahb instead and consummated
his marriage. Then he left her presence and met the woman who had proposed to
him. He asked her why she did not make the proposal that she made to him the
day before; to which she replied that the light that was in him the day before
had left him, and she no longer had need of him... She said: "When you passed
me there was a white blaze between your eyes and when I invited you you refused
me and went to Amina, and she has taken it away.
The
Book of Prayers (Kitab Al-Salat) Muslim :: Book 4 : Hadith 1671
Ibn
'Abbas reported: I spent a night with my material aunt (sister of my mother)
Maimuna. The Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) got up during the night
and relieved himself, then washed his face and hands and went to sleep. He then
got up again, and came to the water skin and loosened its straps, then
performed good ablution between the two extremes. He then stood up and observed
prayer. I also stood up and stretched my body fearing that he might be under
the impression that I was there to find out (what he did at night). So I also
performed ablution and stood up to pray, but I stood on his left. He took hold
of my hand and made me go round to his right side. The Messenger of Allah (may
peace be upon him) completed thirteen rak'abs of his night prayer. He then lay
down and slept and snored (and it was his habit to snore while asleep). Then
Bilal came and he informed him about the prayer. He (the Holy Prophet) then
stood up for prayer and did not perform ablution, and his supplication included
there words:" O Allah, place light in my heart, light in my sight,
light in my hearing, light on my right hand, light on my left hand, light above
me, light below me, light in front of me, light behind me, and enhance light
for me."
Kuraib
(the narrator) said: There are seven (words more) which are in my heart (but
I cannot recall them) and I met some of the descendants of 'Abbas and they
narrated these words to me and mentioned in them: (Light) in my sinew, in my
flesh, in my blood, in my hair, in my skin, and made a mention of two more
things. Also Muslim :: Book 4 : Hadith 1680 ,Hadith 1671 ,Hadith 1677 ,Hadith

Ibn
Hajar in Fath al-bari (1989 ed. 11:142) mentions a narration in Ibn Abi `Asim's
Kitab al-du`a which states: "And grant me light upon light" (wa hab
li nuran `ala nur). There are many sound narrations of this hadith mentioning
other parts of the Prophet's person. Ibn Hajar states that Abu Bakr ibn
al-`Arabi numbered the items for which the Prophet supplicated for light in
himself at twenty-five in the totality of the sound narrations of that hadith.
Among them are:
Light
in the Prophet's heart,Light in the Prophet's tongue,Light in the Prophet's
hearing,,Light in the Prophet's eyesight,Light in the Prophet's six directions:
right, left, front, back, above, and below,,Light in the Prophet's soul,,Light
in the Prophet's chest,,Light in the Prophet's sinew,Light in the Prophet's
flesh
Light
in the Prophet's blood,Light in the Prophet's hair,,Light in the Prophet's
skin,,Light in the Prophet's bones,Light in the Prophet's grave,"Enhance
light for me.""Give me abundant light.""Give me light upon
light.""Make me light."
*Note:Believers
shines with the light of guidance. This is the supplication for all the
believers to make.
An-Nawawi
observes, "The scholars say that asking for light for all organs and sides
means (asking) to have the truth and guidance made clear for one's self. He
asked for this so that there would be no deviation or misguidance left in him.”
The
Light of Al-Haqq [Truth] and al-Hidaayah [guidance]
RasulAllah
(saw) said : “O Allah, place light in my heart, light in my sight, light in my
hearing..” until the end [of the hadeeth].. The Ulema have stated that the
intended meaning of: `Asking for Noor [Light] in ones body parts [organs] and
sides means [asking for] the Light of Al-Haqq [Truth] and al-Hidaayah
[guidance] made clear for one’s self.. And [the reason for] asking for Noor in
every part of the body [organs] and behaviour and sides and cases [Halaat] and
all 6 directions, is so that none of the body parts would be left from this
Noor..

Ibn `Uma Ibn `Umar r narrated that the Prophet said: "Allah the Exalted
created creation in a darkness (fi zulmatin); then He cast upon them from His
Light. Whoever was touched by that Light, he is guided, and whoever was missed
by it is misguided. Therefore I say that the Pen is dry (and all is) in Allah's
foreknowledge."

General
Behavior (Kitab Al-Adab) Dawud :: Book
41 : Hadith 5065 Narrated AbuMalik:
The
people asked: Tell us a word which we repeat in the morning, evening and when
we rise.
So
he commanded us to say: "O Allah! Creator of Heavens and Earth; Knower of
all that is hidden and open; Thou art the Lord of everything; the angels
testify that there is no god but Thee, for we seek refuge in Thee from the evil
within ourselves, from the evil of the Devil accused and from the evil of his
suggestion about partnership with Allah, and that we earn sin for ourselves or
drag it to a Muslim."
AbuDawud
said: And through the same chain of transmitters the Apostle of Allah
(peace_be_upon_him) said: When one rises in the morning, one should say:
"We have reached the morning, and in the morning the dominion belongs to
Allah, the Lord of the universe. O Allah! I ask Thee for the good this day
contains, for conquest, victory, light, blessing and guidance during it;
and I seek refuge in Thee from the evil it contains and the evil contained in
what comes after it." In the evening he should say the equivalent.
I
saw a radiant light.
Ibn
Abi Hatim reported from Nawf Al-Bikali that he said, "Her people went out
searching for her, she was from a family that was blessed with prophethood and
nobility. However, they could not find any trace of her. They came across a cow
herder and they asked him, `Have you seen a girl whose description is such and
such' He replied, `No, but tonight I saw my cows doing something that I've
never seen them do before.' They asked, `What did you see' He said, `Tonight I
saw them prostrating in the direction of that valley.''' `Abdullah bin Ziyad
said (adding to the narration), "I memorized from Sayyar that he (the
cattle herder) said, `I saw a radiant light.' '' So they went towards the
direction that he told him, and Maryam was coming towards them from that
direction. When she saw them she sat down and she was holding her child in her
lap. They came towards her until they were standing over her.

Fatimah,
may God be pleased with her, was given the title of "az-Zahraa" which
means "the Resplendent One". That was because of her beaming face
which seemed to radiate light. It is said that when she stood for Prayer, the
mihrab would reflect the light of her countenance. She was also called
"al-Batul" because of her asceticism. Instead of spending her time in
the company of women, much of her time would be spent in Salat, in reading the
Quran and in other acts of ibadah.

Cleanliness is half of faith and al-Hamdu Liliah (Praise be to Allah) fills the
scale, and Subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah) and al-Hamdu Liliah (Praise be to
Allah) fill upwhat is between the heavens and the earth, and prayer is a light,

"A Muslim brother of yours who does not say dirty words." and by that
he meant Ibn Rawaha, "said (in verse): 'We have Allah's Apostle with us
who recites the Holy Qur'an in the early morning time. He gave us guidance and

addition:" The Book of Allah contains right guidance, the light, and
whoever adheres to it and holds it fast, he is upon right guidance and
whosoever deviates from it goes astray.
According
to the Hadeeth of Jabir (ra):
RasulAllah
(saw) said: “O Jabir, the first thing Allah created was the light of your
Prophet from His light, and that light remained in the midst of His Power for
as long as He wished, and there was not, at that time, a Tablet or a Pen or a
Paradise or a Fire or an angel or a heaven or an earth. And when Allah wished
to create creation, he divided that Light into four parts and from the first
made the Pen, from the second the Tablet, from the third the Throne, [and from
the fourth everything else]."
*Note:It
is already stated in an authetic hadith that the first to be created was
Pen,the above hadith also says, from the fourth part of Prophet Muhammad salla
lahu alaihi wa sallam everything else was created, does it means satan was also
created from his light?hence the hadith is fabricated as it contradicts the authentic
hadith which says pen was the first creation.
Imaam
as-Suyuti (rah) in al-Hawi li al-fatawi, in the explanation of Surat
al-Muddaththir, said: "It has no reliable chain"; and in Takhrij
ahadith sharh al-mawaqif: "I did not find it in that wording."
The
Hadeeth of Jabir (ra) has been Found, some 1000 years
A“Forged”
and “Fabricated” a `Lost Juzz’ from Mussanaf Abdur Razzak (rah) some 1000 years
later.. This “Newly” found Juzz has only been published within the last 6-7
months..
Gibril
Hadad states: “We do not have the entire Musnad of `Abd al-Razzaq in our hands.
The 11 volumes presently published are NOT the entire work.”
“Muhammad
Ameen Barakati Qadri” from al-Hind says, affirms it.. And Dr Isa al-Mani
al-Humayri “Lost Juzz”, from India and
made Tahqeeq of it and published it last year [December 2005] with a
introduction from Saeed Mamduh [student of Shaykh Ghumari]..
The hadeeth of Jabir (ra), as cited by Gibril
Hadad , is nowhere to be found in the currently published 11 volumes of Mussanaf
Abdur Razzaq.. But has NOW been found [in the Lost Juzz] some 1000 years later
by a some Indian endorsed by the Sufi Shaykhs: Dr Isa and Saeed Mamduh..
Furthermore…
The hadeeth of Jabir (ra) happens to be the “First” hadeeth in this “Lost Juzz”..
Not only that, once again the complete Isnaad [chain of narration] is nowhere
to be found!!. The Fabricated Hadeeth of Jabir (ra) was in the beginning of this `Manufactured’ Juzz!
Many
Scholars of the Sunnah, such as Shaykh Zubair Ali Zay [amongst others] ripped
this `alleged’ finding apart, as recent as April, 2006
Dr.
`Isa has requested Shaykh Hisham's assistance in locating an original
manuscript of this juz and Shaykh Hisham is requesting all who have such access
to search through the world's library catalogs for a manuscript of this book,
as it contains very important ahadith of the companion Jabir (ra) regarding
Allah's creation of the Prophet's (saw) Light before all things”
Without
doubt this “Lost” section attributed to Imaam Abdur Razzal al-San’ani’s
Mussanaf is a blatant forgery..
Suyuti
said in Manahil al-safa (p. 53 #128): “Ibn Abi `Umar al-`Adani relates it in
his Musnad.” In Takhrij ahadith sharh al-mawaqif (p. 32 #12) Suyuti cites it
with the wording: “The Quraysh were a light in front of Allah.” Ibn al-Qattan
in his Ahkam (1:12) narrates it in the following form, although `Abd Allah
al-Ghimari in Irshad al-talib rejects the latter as a forgery:

iii. 190), to the end of the Surah. He then stood up and prayed two rak'ahs,
standing, bowing and prostrating himself at length in them. Then he finished,
went to sleep and snored. He did that three times, six rak'ahs altogether, each
time cleaning his teeth, performing ablution, and reciting these verses. Then
he observed three rak'ahs of Witr. The Mu'adhdhin then pronounced the Adhan
and he went out for prayer and was saying,:" O Allah I place light in my
heart, light in my tongue, place light in my hearing, place light in my
eyesight, place light behind me, and light in front of me, and place light
above me, and light below me. O Allah! grant me light."

:: Book 4 : Hadith 1678 Salama said: I met Kuraib and he reported Ibn 'Abbas as
saying: I was with my mother's sister Maimuna that the Messenger of Allah
(may peace be upon him) came there, and then he narrated the rest of the hadith
as was narrated by Ghundar and said these words:" Make me light,"
beyond any doubt.

:: Book 4 : Hadith 1679 Ibn 'Abbas reported: I spent a night in the house of my
mother's sister, Maimuna, and then narrated (the rest of the) haditb, but he
made no mention of the washing of his face and two hands but he only said: He
then came to the water-skin and loosened its straps and performed ablution
between the two extremes, and then came to his bed and slept. He then got up
for the second time and came to the waterskin and loosened its straps and
then performed ablution which was in fact an ablution (it was performed well),
and implored (the Lord) thus:" Give me abundant light," and he made
no mention of:" Make me light."
