In the name of Allah most
gracious most merciful
Assalaamu alaykum wa
rahmatuallahi wa barakatuhu
47:19 Know therefore that there is no god but Allah and ask forgiveness
for the fault and for the men and women who believe: for Allah knows how ye
move about and how ye dwell in your homes.
33:58 And those who annoy believing men and women undeservedly bear (on
themselves) a calumny and a glaring sin.
49:11 O ye who believe! let not some men among you laugh at others: it may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): Nor let some women laugh at others: it may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): nor defame nor be sarcastic to each other nor call each other by (offensive) nicknames: Ill-seeming is a name connoting wickedness (to be used of one) after he has believed: And those who do not desist are (Indeed) doing wrong.
31:17 "O my son! establish regular prayer enjoin what is just and
forbid what is wrong: and bear with patient constancy whatever betide thee; for
this is firmness (of purpose) in (the conduct of) affairs.
18 "And swell not thy cheek (for pride) at men nor walk in
insolence through the earth; for Allah loveth not any arrogant boaster.

the harshest of sounds without doubt is the braying of the ass."

has given the one more (strength) than the other and because they support them
from their means. Therefore the
righteous women are devoutly obedient and guard in (the husband's) absence what
Allah would have them guard. As to

make for greater purity for them: and Allah is well acquainted with all that
they do.
24:31 And say to the believing women that they should lower their

4:19 O ye who believe! ye are forbidden to inherit women against
their will. Nor should ye treat them
with harshness that ye may take away part of the dower ye have given them
except where they have been guilty of open lewdness; on the contrary live with
them on a footing of kindness and equity.
If ye take a dislike to them it may be that ye dislike a thing and Allah
brings about through it a great deal of good.

among yourselves that ye may dwell in tranquillity with them and He has put
love and mercy between your (hearts); verily in that are Signs for those who

Allah, what is the right of the wife of one of us over him? He replied: That
you should give her food when you eat, clothe her when you clothe yourself, do
not strike her on the face, do not revile her or separate yourself from her
except in the house.
Sunan of Abu-DawoodHadith 964 Narrated byAbdullah ibn Mas'ud
We did not know what we should
say when we sat during prayer. The Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) was
taught (by Allah). He then narrated the tradition to the same effect. Sharik
reported from Jami', from AbuWa'il on the authority of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud
something similar. He said: He used to
teach us also some other words, but he did not teach them as he taught us the
tashahhud: O Allah, join our hearts, mend our social relationship, guide us
to the path of peace, bring us from darkness to light, save us from
obscenities, outward or inward, and bless our ears, our eyes, our hearts, our
wives, our children, and relent toward us; Thou art the Relenting, the
Merciful. And make us grateful for Thy blessing and make us praise it while
accepting it and give it to us in full.
Sunan of Abu-DawoodHadith 4981 Narrated byAn-Nu'man ibn Bashir
When AbuBakr asked the
permission of the Prophet (peace be upon him) to come in, he heard Aisha
speaking in a loud voice. So when he
entered, he caught hold of her in order to slap her, and said: Do I see you
raising your voice to the Apostle of Allah? The Prophet (peace be upon him)
began to prevent him and AbuBakr went out angry. The Prophet (peace be upon
him) said when AbuBakr went out: You see I rescued you from the man. AbuBakr waited for some days, then asked
permission of the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) to enter, and found that
they had made peace with each other. He said to them: Bring me into your peace

4:4 And give the women (on marriage) their dower as a free gift;
but if they of their own good pleasure remit any part of it to you take it and
enjoy it with right good cheer.

Beautiful Loan it shall be increased manifold (to their credit) and they shall
have (besides) a liberal reward.

Three principles were
established because of Barira: (i) When Barira was manumitted she was given the
option (to remain with her slave husband or not). (ii) Allah's Apostle said
"The Wala (of the slave) is for the one who manumits (the slave)."
(iii) When Allah's Apostle entered (the house), he saw a cooking pot on the
fire but he was given bread and meat soup from the soup of the home. The
Prophet said, "Didn't I see the cooking pot (on the fire)?" It was
said, "That is the meat given in charity to Barira, and you do not eat the
(things given in) charity." The Prophet said, "It is an object of
charity for Barira, and it is a present for us."
Women Are The Guardians Of
Home

you are guardians and are responsible for your wards. The ruler is a guardian

HadithHadith 8.48 Narrated byAbu
Shuraih Al Adawi
My ears heard and my eyes saw
the Prophet when he spoke, "Anybody who believes in Allah and the Last
Day, should serve his neighbor generously, and anybody who believes in Allah
and the Last Day should serve his guest generously by giving him his
reward." It was asked. "What is his reward, O Allah's Apostle?"
He said, "(To be entertained generously) for a day and a night with high
quality of food and the guest has the right to be entertained for three days
(with ordinary food) and if he stays longer, what he will be provided with will
be regarded as Sadaqa (a charitable gift). And anybody who believes in Allah
and the Last Day should talk what is good or keep quiet (i.e. abstain from all
kinds of dirty and evil talks)."
Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith
8.156 Narrated byAbu Shuraih Al Kabi
Allah's Apostle said,
"hoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should serve his guest
generously. The guest's reward is: to provide him with a superior type of food for
a night and a day and a guest is to be entertained with food for three days,
and whatever is offered beyond that, is regarded as something given in charity.
And it is not lawful for a guest to stay with his host for such a long period
so as to put him in a critical position."
Be Just To Your Children

witness to it. So, my father went to Allah's Apostle and said, 'I have given a
gift to my son from 'Amra bint Rawaha, but she ordered me to make you as a
witness to it, O Allah's Apostle!' Allah's Apostle asked, 'Have you given (the
like of it) to everyone of your sons?' He replied in the negative. Allah's
Apostle said, 'Be afraid of Allah, and be just to your children.' My father
then returned and took back his gift."

shades (where they take shelter and rest).
2:222 They ask thee concerning women's courses. Say: They are a hurt and a pollution; so keep away from women in their courses and do not approach them until they are clean. But when they have purified themselves ye may approach them in any manner time or place ordained for you by Allah. For Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean.
Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith
1.295 Narrated byUrwa
A person asked me, "Can a
woman in menses serve me? And can a Junub woman come close to me?" I
replied, "All this is easy for me. All of them can serve me, and there is
no harm for any other person to do the same. 'Aisha told me that she used to
comb the hair of Allah's Apostle while she was in her menses, and he was in
Itikaf (in the mosque). He would bring his head near her in her room and she
would comb his hair, while she used to be in her menses."
On Wailing
Sunan of Abu-DawoodHadith 3105 Narrated byJabir ibn Atik
The Apostle of Allah (peace be
upon him) came to visit Abdullah ibn Thabit who was ill. He found that he was
dominated (by the divine decree). The Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him)
called him loudly, but he did not respond.
He uttered the Qur'anic verse "We belong to Allah and to Him do we
return" and he said: We have been dominated against you, AburRabi'. Then
the women cried and wept, and Ibn Atik began to silence them. The Apostle of
Allah (peace be upon him) said: Leave them, when the divine decree is made, no
woman should weep. They (the people)
asked: What is necessary happening, Apostle of Allah? He replied: Death. His
daughter said: I hope you will be a martyr, for you have completed your
preparations for jihad. The Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Allah
Most High gave him a reward according to his intentions. What do you consider
martyrdom? They said: Being killed in
the cause of Allah. The Apostle of
Allah (peace be upon him) said: There are seven types of martyrdom in addition
to being killed in Allah's cause: one who dies of plague is a martyr; one who
is drowned is a martyr; one who dies of pleurisy is a martyr; one who dies of
an internal complaint is a martyr; one who is burnt to death is a martyr; who
one is killed by a building falling on him is a martyr; and a woman who dies
while pregnant is a martyr.
Sahih Muslim HadithHadith 2007 Narrated byUmm Salamah
When AbuSalamah died I said: I
am a stranger in a strange land, I shall weep for him in a manner that would be
talked of. I made preparation for weeping for him when a woman from the upper
side of the city came there who intended to help me (in weeping). She happened
to come across the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and he said: Do you
intend to bring the devil into a house from which Allah has twice driven him
out? I (Umm Salamah), therefore, refrained from weeping and I did not weep.
Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith
2.386 Narrated byAisha
When the Prophet got the news
of the death of Ibn Haritha, Ja'far and Ibn Rawaha he sat down and looked sad
and I was looking at him through the chink of the door. A man came and told him
about the crying of the women of Ja'far. The Prophet ordered him to forbid
them. The man went and came back saying that he had told them but they did not
listen to him. The Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, "Forbid them." So again he
went and came back for the third time and said, "O Allah's Apostle! By
Allah, they did not listen to us at all." ('Aisha added): Allah's Apostle
ordered him to go and put dust in their mouths. I said, (to that man) "May
Allah stick your nose in the dust (i.e. humiliate you)! You could neither
(persuade the women to) fulfill the order of Allah's Apostle nor did you
relieve Allah's Apostle from fatigue. "
Al-Tirmidhi HadithHadith 1738 Narrated byAbuBarzah

Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith
1.29 Narrated byAl Marur
At Ar-Rabadha I met Abu Dhar
who was wearing a cloak, and his slave, too, was wearing a similar one. I asked
about the reason for it. He replied, "I abused a person by calling his
mother with bad names." The Prophet said to me, 'O Abu Dhar! Did you abuse
him by calling his mother with bad names? You still have some characteristics
of ignorance. Your slaves are your brothers and Allah has put them under your
command. So whoever has a brother under his command should feed him of what he
eats and dress him of what he wears. Do not ask them (slaves) to do things
beyond their capacity (power) and if you do so, then help them.' "
Al-Tirmidhi HadithHadith 5561 Narrated byAisha
A man came and when he had sat
down in front of Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) he said, "Messenger
of Allah, I have slaves who lie to me, deceive me and disobey me, and I revile
and beat them. How do I stand with respect to them?" He replied, "On
the Day of Resurrection account will be taken of the extent of their deceit,
disobedience and lying towards you, and of the punishment you administered to
them. If your punishment of them was in accordance with their offences, its
being exactly right will count neither for you nor against you. If your
punishment of them was less than their offence deserved it will be something
extra to your credit. But if your punishment of them was greater than their
offences deserved requital will be taken from you on their behalf for the
excess." The man went aside and began to shout and weep, so Allah's
Messenger asked him if he did not recite the words of Allah Most High: "We
shall place the just scales for the Day of Resurrection and no soul will be
wronged in any respect, and even if there is only the weight of a grain of
mustard-seed We shall bring it, and We are sufficient to take account."
The man said, "Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), I find nothing
better for myself and these men than to separate from them. I call you to
witness that they are all free."
Tirmidhi transmitted it.

3.721 Narrated byAl Marur bin Suwaid
I saw Abu Dhar Al-Ghifari

that (i.e. how both were wearing similar cloaks). He replied, "Once I
abused a man and he complained of me to the Prophet. The Prophet asked me, 'Did
you abuse him by slighting his mother?' He added, 'Your slaves are your
brethren upon whom Allah has given you authority. So, if one has one's brethren
under one's control, one should feed them with the like of what one eats and
clothe them with the like of what one wears. You should not overburden them with
what they cannot bear, and if you do so, help them (in their hard job).' "

tradition.
Al-Tirmidhi HadithHadith 1566 Narrated byAnas ibn Malik

but those who are displeased receive Allah's displeasure.
Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah
transmitted it.
Al-Tirmidhi HadithHadith 1562 Narrated bySa'd
When the Prophet (peace be
upon him) was asked which people suffered the greatest affliction, he replied,
"The prophets, then those who come next to them, then those who come next
to them. A man is afflicted in keeping his religion. If he is firm in his
religion his trial is severe, but if there is weakness in his religion it is
made light for him, and it continues like that till he walks on the earth
having no sin."
Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and Darimi
transmitted it, and Tirmidhi said this is a hasan sahih tradition.

teaches it to others."

Safiya, the wife of the Prophet told me that she went to Allah's Apostle to visit him in the mosque while he was in Itikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan. She had a talk with him for a while, then she got up in order to return home. The Prophet accompanied her. When they reached the gate of the mosque, opposite the door of Um-Salama, two Ansari men were passing by and they greeted Allah's Apostle . He told them: Do not run away! And said, "She is (my wife) Safiya bint Huyai." Both of them said, "Subhan Allah, (How dare we think of any evil) O Allah's Apostle!" And they felt it. The Prophet said (to them), "Satan reaches everywhere in the human body as blood reaches in it, (everywhere in one's body). I was afraid lest Satan might insert an evil thought in your minds."
4:97 When angels take the souls of those who die in sin against
their souls they say: "In what (plight) were ye?" They reply: "Weak and oppressed were we
in the earth." They say: "Was
not the earth of Allah spacious enough for you to move yourselves away (from
evil)?" Such men will find their
abode in Hell what an evil refuge!
98 Except those who are (really) weak and oppressed men women
and children who have no means in their power nor (a guide-post) to direct
their way.
