France has many different regions. There is the north part, which is always kind of cool and windy. Then there is the middle part which is warm and nice and there is of the course the south which is always hot.
You will always find good food and people who really enjoy their life, especially in the mediterrean areas. In summer it is the main tourist area and full of people who are looking for sun and great beaches. But the north and the Atlantic coast is also good for relaxing and sandy beaches. By the way, there is a perfect surfing area at the coastline around Bordeaux.... and most of all, it is not so crowded like the Cote d'Azur.....
