The 5 continent is very far away from the other part of the world. I could experience that in the 6 weeks. No one really cared what happened in the other parts of the world. The most funny thing was that the international news just appeared for less than 2 minutes. When you go there you really know what the word distance means. For them it is not a big deal to drive 2 hours one way to work or go shopping. I have travelled to places where you won't find a house for half day, and then it is just a petrol station with a supermarket. I just went to the southern part of the continent, which was Western Australia, South Austrialia, New South Wales and Victoria. Actually I was lucky, because I went there in spring, in the middle of October to end of November. |
However, summer just started down there and I had to return to cold Europe...what a change for me. Anyway, at the moment many Europeans go there for a couple of weeks. Please think about that it takes almost 2 days to get there from Europe and you need one day to go back. So when you want to see something you need at least 4 weeks. Take this time and try to rent a car or camping van, then you are indipendent and you have the chance to see a lot...:-) It is worth to visit the whole country, although it is a long way to drive from one place to the next. But at least you remember and I am sure that you will never forget what you have seen.... Have fun down there....^.^ |
