| Arnold's story of a carriage driver who loses his head during a ride in the park becomes a little too familiar when the boys have to walk through the park Written by Joseph Purdy Storyboard Direction by Sherm Cohen Animation Direction by Christine Kolosov Storyboard Artist: Tim Parsons Cast: Arnold - Spencer Klein Gerald - Jamil Smith Harold - Justin Shenkarow Stinky - Christopher Walberg Sid - Sam Gifaldi Eugene - Ben Diskin Ernie - Dom Irrera Mr. Hyunh - Baoan Coleman Cabbie, man with golden arm - Dan Castellaneta Woman in carriage - Ileen Getz * Didn't Stinky bring any clothes to the sleepover? When the boys went to the park, the others had normal clothes, but Stinky was wearing his nightshirt and slippers (and a coat) * Usually, stories involving a red scarf go something like this: a man picks up a hitchhiker wearing a red scarf, but she leaves behind her purse; when he finds some ID inside the purse and drives to that address, he discovers that the woman in question died years ago, usually on that night - and occasionally the story ends with the man finding the scarf tied around the woman's tombstone * First he gets two credits in one episode, and now this: Stephen Viksten was credited as voicing Oskar, yet Oskar doesn't appear in this episode |

| Strange things happen to Arnold and Gerald after Wolfgang dares them to break superstitions on Friday the 13th
Written by Antoinette Stella Storyboard Direction by Mike Svayko Animation Direction by Christine Kolosov Storyboard Artist: Jay Lender Cast: Arnold - Spencer Klein Gerald - Jamil Smith Stinky - Christopher Walberg Eugene - Ben Diskin Wolfgang - Toran Caudell Edmund - Tim Wiley Grandpa - Dan Castellaneta Grandma - Tress MacNeille Madame Blanche - Kathy Najimy Caesar (fish store employee) [uncredited] - Steve Viksten * This episode first aired in the USA in October, 1999; however, there were no Friday the 13ths between August, 1999 and October, 2000 (although every year has at least one) * Arnold and Gerald could have avoided the black cat's bad luck by not walking through its path * Wolfgang probably made up the "triple bad luck" for breaking a mirror on Friday the 13th; I've never heard of it * The paint that spilled on Arnold and Gerald didn't stain their clothes * Arnold was told to read the instructions before opening the Good Luck kit, yet he's seen reading the instructions while the box is open * Wolfgang has an Auto Shop textbook in his locker - what elementary school has an auto shop? * The paper towel holder in the bathroom has HB (Harold Berman?) carved into it * The lockers have combination locks and key locks - but the key locks disappear when Arnold and Gerald open their lockers * When Arnold opens his locker, one of the things that falls out is a paper titled "My Summer Vacation" that got an A+ * Grandpa got one supersitition right: the reason you throw spilt salt over your shoulder is to get it "in the devil's eye" * ...but you're supposed to throw it over your left shoulder; Grandpa threw it over his right one (although he did throw it with his right hand, which is also correct) * At least they spelled her name right this time: the "A" in Kathy Najimy's last name is smaller than it should be * Here's a list of the things Grandpa says (most of them are over the closing credits): o Salt, salt, as you fly, hit the devil in the eye o Salt, salt, white and gleamin', save us from the evil demon o Salt, salt, pure white wonder, save us from the man down under o Salt, salt, we are feeble; save us from the devil's evil o Salt, salt, from the ocean, save us from the devil's potion o Salt, salt, queen of spices, save us from the devil's vices o Salt, salt, chilling starkness, save us from the prince of darkness * Notice that you can say "devil", but not "hell"; this appears to be a policy on all Nicktoons |
