| Tatay (Conrado P. Sabio) received his U.S. citizenship in 1993 in San Francisco, California by virtue of his being a USAFEE veteran of World War II. He was at the battlefield during the war and he left the care of his 5 very young children to our Nanay (Felicissima Taco Sabio). During the war, the wife and children of the Filipino soldiers were special targets of the enemy forces. Hence the village pleople shunned the company of the soldiers' families. Indeed, it was a painful experience for the family members. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Our youngest brother, John Taco Sabio and wife, Natalia Memije Sabio, residing in California, wholeheartedly assisted Tatay in the processing of his application for citizenship until the oath-taking day arrived. Above is a snapshot of Tatay with John and Naty taking a cruise on board a tourist pleasure boat around the scenic San Francisco Bay of California. He enjoyed very much his stay in the U.S.A. The picture on the right was taken in front of the City Hall of San Francisco, California during the visit of Fr. Raymond T. Sabio, MSC in 1993. |

| A WORD OF THANKS Thank you ever so much for visiting this web-site. We hope and pray, that as you share our joys and sorrows, our success and failures, we, all will come to realize that everything we have received from the Lord is meant to be shared with as many people as possible. As the beautiful and challenging saying goes, "You reap what you planted." Let us continue planting the seeds of peace, love, compassion as well as kindness and perseverance; and may we reap the fruits of these virtues in the days to come. | TRUE HAPPINESS Realize that true happiness lies within you. Waste no time and effort searching for peace and contentment and joy in the world ourside. Remember that there is no happiness in having or in getting, but only in giving. Reach out. Share. Smile. Hug. Happiness is a perfume you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself. | BE THE BEST OF WHATEVER YOU ARE (Anonymous) If you cannot be a tree on the top of the hill, Be a shrub in the valley, but be . . . The best little shrub on the side of the rill. Be a bush if you cannot be a tree. We can't all be captains--there's got to be crew, There is something for all of us here. There are big things to do, and there's lesser to do. And the task you must do is the near. If you can't be a highway, then just be a trail. If you can't be the sun, be the star. It is not in the job that you win or you fail, Be the best of whatever you are. |
